you can be drug tested, but don't think they can get drug results by fingerprinting. Why would you ask this question if you really aren't using drugs? You sound a bit worried. By the way, there is NO reason to shoplift, us law abiding taxpayers have to pay for your sticky fingers. Legally earn your money, then buy what you want. If you can't afford it, you don't need it.

If they have ANY reason to suspect that you may be on drugs, then a drug test is almost mandatory for them.

Don't forget, it against the law to be merely under the influence of most drugs. For a seventeen year old, that means virtually ANY kind of drugs.

You don't make the rules. THEY do.

17 and shoplifting? I am not going to assume you are stealing to support a drug habit. They will do whatever it takes to put you straight. You should consider getting help now before you are really in trouble.

When you are being fingerprinted, they will do your photo normally, do a personal history, make notes of tatoos or noticable features.

They can always ask you to do a drug test, they can ask you to confess to the 911 attacks, but you dont have to.

So can you, of coure they may try at booking if they suspect, but without a court order they can't make you.
If they ask and you do it, it would be legal. If they ask and you refuse, they can't do it

No they will not drug test you unless you have been caught with drugs on you they will have to have some kind of probable cause to drug test you. If you are on probation your probation officer may require you to be drug tested.

Don't do drugs and you will have nothing to worry about. Or as a criminal do you think you should get special rights.
