There's a lot of relevant information about which countries have capital punishment, which ones recently abolished it, and which ones are completely against it. if you go to amnesty international web site they will give you a map showing the areas that the death penalty is still used.......actually quiet surprising the amount of places that still have it........I would actually like it brought back to my home country of the UK..................it will never happen but its a nice thought...........

Amnesty International is one of the best resources for information on the penalty as they are seeking to get it aboloshed. According to them, 68 countries in the world have the death penalty, but not all of them use it - that is, the penalty is legal but doesn't happen.

The following countries have EXECUTED someone in 2005:
BANGLADESH, BELARUS, CHINA, INDONESIA, IRAN, IRAQ, JAPAN, JORDAN. KOREA (North), KUWAIT, LIBYA, MONGOLIA, PAKISTAN, PALESTINIAN AUTHORITY, SAUDI ARABIA, SINGAPORE, SOMALIA, TAIWAN, USA, UZBEKISTAN, VIET NAM, YEMEN

The following have SENTENCED someone to die in 2005:
