Is it better to stay away from Agencies and do your own Bounty Hunter stuff? Do they show new recruits the ropes? Do Agency’s make you kill people, what if you only want capture “Alive” jobs?

Here is what happened. I'm still going to school and lost my laptop a few months ago in class when I left to use the restroom. When I came back, it was gone. A few months later, I recognized someone from that same class I had lost my laptop in, using a laptop that was exactly like mine but I spotted him at the school cafe. I went up to him and asked if I could see it and he said "no." I automatically assumed he was the suspect and grabbed the laptop from him and ran across the room, (struggling since he chased after me) to inspect it. Unfortunately, it was a mistake and was not mine and I returned it but shorty after, the campus police arrived. I've had my name taken down on their police report but I was not arrested and was released immediately. My main concern is, if I apply for jobs and they run a background check, will it show that I was a "criminal" or will my name show on the list? For this case, when will records be erased since I wasn't convicted? Who can see the records?

If a pub manager, who lives over the business, surprises two intruders in the early hours of the morning, does he have the right to defend himself and his business by use of force? The only weapons involved were fists, but one of the intruders has been hospitalized. I need help and/or advice from anyone with knowledge of the law.

Hi
Does anyone know how many times someone can ask for a Motion for Continuance in a trial for Rape to a Minor in Arkansas?
It seems to me in this case the minor has NO RIGHTS I think the case should go on so the minor can move on with their life and get this thing behind them. Seems like the defendent has all the rights here. Guess it goes back to innocent till proven guitly

Okay, the following situation is hypothetical: Your ex-husband wrecked his truck, your 3 year old child was in the vehicle with him. He had not placed the child in a car seat and both were killed. He was embalmed, at the viewing you take a large knife and proceed to stab him wildly. Can you face criminal charges?? He is after all DEAD....

His charcter made the comment that, in NY, they have exactly the same powers as a police officer, carry guns, can make arrests, etc. Is this true and would it apply to other locales as well? Also, wouldn't a fire marshall be allowed to write a ticket for someone parked in a fire zone or would that be totally left up to a patrol office or parking enforcement personnell? Thanks!
