People who fail to attend a court hearing are normally issued with a warrant of arrest to that court.
It makes NO difference if that court is 1mile or 500 miles away.
As a tax payer it is you that helps towards the cost.
Should they appear at the nearest court?

Okay, my cousin was standing outside a Little Ceasers when someone he had just met, & played a game of basketball, went inside to buy a pizza. The dude robbed the place while my cousin was outside, and now my cousin is being charged with Aggravated Robbery and Threatening/Intimidation. The cop lied and said that he had Audio/Video of my cousin robbing the place, and he said 'Well, if you have video then why am I sitting here w/ cuffs on?' They really didn't have Video, and he is inocent, is there any way we could use this to our advantige?

I wanted to find out if the Judge grants a Dismiss to a charge does that mean the person is guilty? Will it show on your record? Do you have to mention this to employers? There was no conviction.

I was checking a County Warrant Inquiry website and found that someone I know has a warrant out for their arrest. This code was the description of the charges. Can anyone tell me what this charge is or a place I can go to find it?

an elderly friend has been told by acquaintance that he was arested for "attempted murder" for pointing a gun at a neighbor. Supposedly police arrived on the property w/ guns drawn, made the arrest, locked the house but did not search for a weapon. Of course he says there is no gun and none pointed at anyone - even if there was, would this legally be called "attempted murder" - or in reality, would it be some form of assault w/ deadly weapon? I think my elderly friends are being lied to. This is in the state of Washington.

My question comes from information obtained from a very small police department. I found that they routinely polygraph any rape victim who doesn't fit the stereotypical "hysterical" rape victim, anyone who wasn't so seriously injured they couldn't have consented, any time there isn't strong DNA evidence, anytime the victim showered prior to calling police and so on. I am just wondering, with several states that have banned requesting or requiring polygraphs of rape victims, if this practice actually serves a good purpose. Does it actually do anything except beak down a rape vicitms already broken sense of trust and self worth? Further, how can a rape victim pass a polygraph and have the test be accurate given the emotional and personal nature of the crime of rape? The very nature of rape is it leaves the victim nervous, anxious and upset. Thoughts??

They accidentally kill people and they often get off, they do all kinds of things that would get the typical citizen locked up for years, and they treat citizens of all backgrounds like human garbage. Yeah I know they get fed up because they deal with a lot of scum bags all day, but they abuse their power far too often. They're supposed to serve the public, not just their buddies in the police department.

This all started when my neighbor challanged my son whom is a brown belt in Karate to fight his son whom is a wrestler. He first tells my son whom is 11 that Karate is crap, and then says, "Let's see what you got." He puts the two boys on the trampoline, and makes them fight. Well, my son bloodies the kid's nose, and my neighbor gets angry, scolds his boy, and sends my boy home. Well, ever since, he's called my son names like 4 eyes, whitey, calls my husband, and I names to my son... Well, it's come to the point where this neighbor has started making up things on my son, and calling the police, and now my son has had to see the JPO 2 times. There is no proof, and my son even had a witness the first time, but still it keeps on. The JPO even says the guy needs to grow up, but that she has to send my son's case back to the D.A. We have sold our home, and moving. We even caught this guy stabbing our pool, and filed charges that case is pending...Is this serious for my boy?
