Chemical Castration is a great idea In Theory. The problem with it is that most sex offenses are not purely physical which is all it controls.
Rape is a crime of violence and control - while it might make it harder for the rapists to complete the act, it also might make them more violent in frustration since the urges will still be there.
Same for child molesters - most are actually mentally aroused at the idea. Chemical Castration does nothing for the mental aspect of sexual desires.
So, bottom line, it really doesn't solve any problem.

chemical castration not including sexual predators? meaning, for people who have not been convicted of any sexual crime? that makes it a personal choice, a lot like a woman having a hysterectomy. if a man wants to be chemically castrated, that is his choice.

I did a paper on it last semester. I picked the subject because I thought "Yeah- they deserve it!", but when all the research was done- I found that it rarely works- child molestation and rape are not sex crimes, but crimes of violence, a need for a feeling of power-so the chemical castration doesn't work on MOST of those idiots...but I am not against regular castration for all of them - at least they won't rape anyone again!

certain it really is. In u . s . of america it really is sometimes area of the situations on the launch from detention center of rapists. it extremely works with the help of overloading the body with lady hormones, accordingly suppressing testosterone production, the hormone that creates sexual favor in both men and females. the guy ought to also not be in a position to attain erection. i don't think of that's used in the united kingdom, even though it will be.
