I'm trying to look up both State (Michigan) and Federal Appeal Cases online, but cannot find access to cases before 1996. Is it possible to access pre-1996 cases online? Some examples:
People v Broilo, 58 Mich App 547 (1975): Pepole v Staffney, 70 Mich App 737 (1976): People v Leighty, 161 Mich App 565,572 (1987): Coolidge v New Hampshire, 403 US 443: 91 s Ct 2022: 29L Ed 2d 564 (1971). Also, is it possible to look up federal cases in what I call a "prisoner" format? For example: United States v Nino, 878 F. 2d 101,103 (3d Cir, 1989): United States v Kauffman, 109 F.3d 186, 190 (3d Cir 1997)?

I was charged with a misdemeanor, over 5 years ago. I paid a $100 fine. The crime was 'disorderly conduct'.

How long will this follow me?

Everyone was recently checked (those of us that already work here included). Some people got dismissed. I am still here.

Am I still here because is misdemeanor is insignificant, or because it was 5 year ago?

A police officer stops a car for speeding and there are four occupants; two men in the front seat and two in the back seat. The officer notices a small baggie of marijuana on the console between the two men in the front seat. Can he arrest all four for possession? If not, who gets arrested? Would it make a difference if it was a more serious drug such as cocaine rather than marijuana?

In New York in 1988 officers were making a routine drug arrest of three men. One man being taken into custody suddenly broke loose and, in the process, hit the arm of one of the police officers who was holding a gun. The officer's gun fired when his arm was hit, ultimately killing one of his fellow officers. Should the man who attempted to escape be charged with criminal homicide? Should the police officer be charged with criminal homicide?

A burglar is arrested while in possession of items he stole. Fearing a long prison sentence he agrees to cooperate with police. The police give the stolen goods back to the burglar and, while under surveillance, the burglar sells the goods to his regular fence. The fence is then arrested on the charge of receiving stolen property. Would this arrest be valid? Would it stand up in court?

There was a guy behind me on the highway and traffic was moving pretty slowly because it was rush hour. He got in the emergency lane and started speeding his *** off looking for a place to get back over. Unfortunately for him his car met a giant orange road construction sign and despite him slamming the brakes he hit it at probably about 20 miles an hour.

As he did this traffic started moving again, I passed his wrecked car ) , laughed to myself at his plight and kept going (along with everyone else behind and in front of me, to my knowledge. He wasn't signaling for anyone to help him he was just looking really pissed off.

Later I remembered that episode of Seinfeld where they all goto jail because of the good samaritan laws. Was leaving him there and not stopping illegal?

What is the point of telling people where peadophiles live? You cant trust the public to act sensibly with that kind of information, there is always an element of society that would use it to try and kill these people and could get the wrong one. In Britain, peadiatritions were attacked.

If a peadophile is living near a school, so what??? A peadophile could be a 10 minute bus ride from a school, whats the difference? Why do politicians always decisions that pander to dumb hateful people?

I dispise peadophiles and the crimes thet commit, but we should think these things through.
Thanks.
