Why or Why not?

The violent crime rates will fluctuate with the times and weather. If the economy is good and people have opportunities for employment the crime rate goes down. If unemployment is high and the economy is bad, the crime rate goes up. The crime rate also goes up in summer and with really hot weather. People are more irritable. The pendulum of violent crime will always go up and down with the times. The media just spins it one way or another how they see fit. Statistics can be skewed to prove just about anything.
