I was pretty badly burned by a bikini wax a few days ago, at a day spa, and now have awful red splotches along my bikini line! I have been happy with the business in the past, this is the first problem I have had, but it is a big one. Should I approach them first and ask for my money back, or should I go to a doctor to verify the burns, and sue for damages? On the one hand, I don't want to cause a problem for a small business just for the sake of making money. But on the other hand, it is pretty miserable - I've worn pajama bottoms all weekend! - and I certainly think they should know so this doesn't happen to another client. I'm not sure what the ethical thing to do is; please help!

When an individual is intoxicated, and is operating a moving vehicle, the officer must assist the intoxicated individual to their home or place of stay. After assisting the intoxicated individual to their place of stay, the officer must give a precinct card, that shows the precinct number and the officers names, to the individual they assisted for a safe return. Notice of the assistance will be printed and shown to the public, with the names of the officer and individual (individuals) they assisted. Furthermore, it is optional for the individual/s they assisted to donate to the precinct of the officers that helped. If the donation is made it will be printed and shown to the public.

Furthermore, individuals who notice another who is incapable to operate a moving vehicle may call on the officers to assist in aiding an intoxicated individual back to their place of stay as well. And the individual who called the officers to assist will be given the option to donate to the officer's precinct.

I was suspended because a guard at my job said i said something immpropriate. He reported 2 weeks later. I stop talking to him way before he reported me to my boss. My boss that hates me was very vague on telling me what I was suspended for. They did not give me a chance to defend myself. I have two bosses and neither like me , because I speak up. They suspend me over the phone and it was not that call me. I call them the brush me off the phone. Each boss tranfer me to the other. This is when my boss claims this guard said that I said something immpropriate. My then tells me you will be off for a while until an investigation is done. Now keep in mind they did ask me anything. I live in Michigan and it hard to find work. I am a mom. This guy lied on me and waited two weeks to do it, because I only work weekends. So can some one tell me whats going on. Is my job trying to trip me up. The word is going around on the job the he said, I sexually harrassed him. This is a lie. What can I do.

I was invited to work abroad for 10 days, and it's my first time. The contract was made by me and was already signed by both parties. Here's the thing. If things didn't go the way the contract stipulated, what shall I do? For instance, I wasn't compensated or there's a dispute, or whatsoever.

Under whose authority I should go? Is the contract valid enough to press charges against the counterpart?

There is no embassy or consulate in the country of destination.

What happens to parents if their kids drink w/o their knowledge? (In the state of Texas)

For example if a few friends get together and drink at someone's house and get caught but the person's parents didnt know.

(please respond to the question and not things like: "you shouldnt be drinking in the first place" or "drinking is bad" and so on; I don't want to debate the correctness of it, i just want to know what would happen to parents for their kids actions)

Example (just an example, do not read into it): Let's say that a President wants to tap people's phone conversations.

What is wrong with the logic of people who say "If you aren't doing anything wrong, then you shouldn't care what he does".

My personal feeling is this.... it's not a matter of whether or not I am doing anything wrong. Just because I am a law abiding citizen does not mean I am going to submit to everything that the authorities tell me to do, just because I am not hiding something.

Can anyone else help me with this faulty logic?

P.S. I was not referring to Bush. It was an example that came to mind.

Can anyone let us know if it's illegal to just use primer as paint in an apartment? Does this apply to Washington STATE law- Our landlord has opted to use primer for the walls in our apartment. We have come now to find out that it was primer. Is there a law against just using primer for paint or is there none?

Hi, here is my situation first:
I own a home in Wisconsin. I am on SSDI and I have HIRSP insurance - Wisconsin Health Risk Sharing Plan. My situation is that my wife passed away , and I really have no family/friends/job here or anything, my family lives in Texas. It may be best to keep my residency here, and either travel, stay with some other people for a while, or whatever. Or I could sell my house and all that, but honestly I"m not sure if that makes any sense. I think if I rent my house I cannot claim that this is my residence and I don't want to do that. I think it may be best to keep my house and just get out of here and be around people whoactually care about me. but then I leave the house empty? or find someone to watch or stay in the house? how does all that work?

What are the laws concerning residency in Wisconsin?

what do you think may be best?
thanks

We were not married, we had a baby. The mother is a mental case. Through mediation, the agreement is, We have shared custody, I have her Tuesday and Wednesday until 9pm. And Saturday, Sunday from 8:30am to 9pm. As you see I have her 4 days and she has three. Currently I agreed to not have overnights because the mother has seperation issues. SO overnights will not happen until January. In January, I will have her overnights. I currently pay 200.00 per month child support, 145 per month for health insurance for her. I have been paying 100% of medical expenses but agreed to only pay half. (mother having a hard time financially). I do make about 10k more than her a year. Can I take her back to court and show that I have the baby more and I pay more and get my child support cut or dropped? I dont think its fair that I pay her when I have her more. She says its for a roof over her head-I told her I need to have a roof too since she is here more!

They bounced something, when it said I had an available balance, THEN charged me fees, which bounced NUMEROUS other transactions, even when I put MORE money in the bank to cover it all.

Have you a cause that's worth going to jail for?
Have you participated in actions before?

I don't advocate any such actions, just think they may at times be necessary.

Help! I don't know a lot about leases but I really smell a rat with my landlord. She wants us to sign a new lease and hasn't told us why (we are assuming she lost it). She never even gave us a copy like she said that she would. I am afraid that the new lease won't agree to the previous terms (she is telling me that she doesn't want me to have a pet even though the first lease said that I could). I will not sign this new lease unless it agrees to the terms of the first one that we signed, and I will not pay.

Here is the big what if:
IF I don't sign this new one, will I still be obligated because I signed the first one? Can she all of the sudden "find it" and make me pay the rent even though I do not live there? Is there some kind of form (download-able online) that can nullify the first one that I can tell her to sign?

If you want to get mad at somebody get mad at the cops for breaking the law and not doing their job, get mad at the D.A. for not proving their case.

Seriously, what was the guy supposed to do say here come get me I did it take me to jail, come people.

What do you think?

My dad died in an accident last week at an early age. He left no will. My step-mom (whom I don't particularlly like) is acting like he has left her penniless. I know for sure he has a retirement and has two houses. On e of the is only a couple of payments from being paid off. Anyway, my question is... do I have any legal rights to any part of his estate? The houses were in his name only if that make a difference.

My father is changing doctors and he wants to get his records from his current doctor sent to the new doctor so the new doctor has a full background on his health. His current doctor said he will not send the records. What is the law regarding someone's medical records? Is the patient entitled to those records or can the doctor refuse to transfer them to a new doctor?

I think there should be. I believe there should be a law that if your BMI reaches a certain level, you should be arrested and taken to jail where you'll be put on a diet. It would end the obesity problem in the country very quickly. What do you think?
