It might be vandalism or trespass, depending on whether they damaged anything and if the signs were on private property.

I would think that the only crime that is committed is trespassing....if it is on your property. But if the sign is elsewhere...then there is nothing that can really be done....especially if the sign is on someone elses property.

If it is within the public Easement, then no it is not likely to be a crime. Otherwise, it COULD be distruction of property, but you aren't likely to be able to do anything about it.

it might be in some small way but good luck getting it prosecuted. signs fall down all the time.
