I attended the protest, and before we even arrived at the emails that were sent to us stated that a "die-in" is a civil disobedience and that all who participated in the "die-in" risked arrest. What charge would you get? Like what is illegal about the die in. Of course I know that you cant jump police barricades and stuff but what about the simple die in its self is illegal?

I really can't answer your question, but I wondered the same thing. Sounds about as peaceful of a way to protest as it can get and yet I believe those are the ones who were arrested.

I assume you're referring to the 190 people that were arrested for jumping a police barricade. That is illegal regardless of your status. They basically dared the police to arrest them, and the police called them on it. If anyone from the pro-victory crowd had hopped the same barricade, they would have been arrested, too.

This is a lesson for everyone: don't hop over police barricades. The thing is, a lot of people didn't need that lesson.

What does that mean? Is a die-in like a sit-in, just ALOT longer? Seriously though, what happened?
