There is ony one person at my school with a peanut allergy, but all of Kindergarten through 12th grade is forbidden to have any peanut products. I mean, I understand peanut allergies are serious, but whats it going to hurt if an allergic person just SEES someone else eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich? They don't have to touch it! This has to be against my rights, right?

iowa. we looked at this cool little house and loved it. my husband made it very clear that he already had to foot the bill in previous years before, and he wanted the sellers to get the septic inspected and if needed they pay for the material and he would install it. the sellers and realtor knew that a new septic was suppose to be in and dome by aug. 2006. when my husband went to sign the papers he stressed again about the septic.(everyone in the whole small town had to install up to date stuff) he doesn't read very well so the realtor read the contract back to him, he signed it and now we got a letter aug. 1, 2007 saying we have have this all done by aug. 30, 2007 or be fined. they got us pretty good on this one. does anyone know if it would do us any good to contact a lawyer or just step back and pay?

I ask this from the standpoint of someone who does not smoke pot, but has many friends who smoke pot and claim it to be non-addictive and not as bad as cigarettes and beer. I would like to know your own personal reasons for opposing marijuana.

We're an unsigned band who was just offered a deal for a remix to be made of our song. The problem is, the DJ is in a club in Berlin. We have a contract that we made written up, but we obviously can't have him sign it and through mail. How can we make a contract that is legally binding internationally.

I have heard a lot of horror stories about MySpace and internet dating programs. How safe is this from child sex offenders and
nut cases from stalking or pursuing someone for the wrong reasons?

I have somebody who keeps tagging my building with graffiti. I'd just love to catch these guys, so I'm thinking to put up some hidden cameras. I'd also like to put out a microphone or two, in hopes they might call each other by name.

My question is: Is it legal for me to record the conversation of these hoodlums without their knowledge? It sounds terribly stupid that I have to ask, considering they are breaking the law and damaging my property, but you know how the law protects the criminals now days.

I'd hate to get it all on tape, and then have some judge fine me for "violating their civil rights".

(Thanks a lot, ACLU.)

I saw some people pictures of people burning effigies during a protest, is this allowed in the USA? And what if I burned an effigy of a minority person based on their orientation or race, would that be considered at hate crime? What if it was of a politcal person I did not like, would that be legal? I don't think I actually want to do it because it seems ridiculous to me that anybody would want to act like that, I am curious about the laws regarding it though.

A woman is claiming she has had a child with my husband, and I want to know if she is able to list him on the birth certificate without proving he is the father. (He has admitted his affair, this was 9 months ago in fact, and I am just trying to find out if she can list him as the father without proof). Thank you for your answer, please tell me how you know the answer (if you have experience or whatnot). Thank you!

I live in Illinois, and have an unsecured loan with a ligitamite loan company. If the payment is more than two days late, they call me on the phone 3-5 time a day. I got mad and decided that they are the last bill that gets paid. The bill is two months late. Not only do they call everyday, but they have called my neighbor asking for me. They have recently sent me a letter that states that they are going to take me to court, and a summons will be issued soon. They want the whole amount of the loan, and all I want to do is make my damn payments. What options do I have? I do not want to file Chapter 13 or 7 Can I sue these people for harassment?

Article 2, section 2, clause 3 of the constitution says:

The President shall have power to fill up all Vacancies that may HAPPEN DURING the Recess of the Senate, by granting Commissions which shall expire at the End of their next Session.

If the vacancy was there before the Senate goes on recess, it is illegal for the president to make the recess appointment.

How come if a tenat fails to appear in a court there is no bench warrant against him/her, but only a default case. Yet there is a bench warrant made to a person who has a traffic violation n fails to appear in court. What is the difference? Why is that one of them gets issued a bench warrant n the other does not? Any sort of help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

complete bullsh^t. I think the owners should have the option of being a smoke free place or not.

So I can go mess up my liver but not my lungs?

Even with any establishment whats wrong with just having a sign on the door or window saying if you smoke friendly or not.
This way owners get the choice to run their buisnesses how they want and people have the freedom of choice.

As far as employees you know they allow smoking or not when you go for the job so you can work somewhere else!

Charity POSTED
R&S Do you appreciate this?......that we have the "freedom" to say what we do on here, without the fear of being imprisoned, killed or worse?

Freedom is the hind sight of not knowing, like in the fact that what we do god decides to punish or not to punish at his roll of the dice without directives. Freedom is when the right to sit at a counter is yours while respecting the etiques of the moment and are told that your whole culture is in big trouble because of you. The worst part is that freedom is in when the very people you are a part of condems you and not defend your rights, for sitting at that counter. Leaving you without food, a seat or inclusion "in their raindeer games." Freedomis not "gods" to grant but ours to give without paing a price of Life for it. FREEDOM IS MORE THAN FREE~! It is the first order of rights~! !~CHANT~A~SEALLAH~!

I broke my leg on sidewalk in middle of Wal-Mart parking lot. I thought the sidewalk was a straight standard sidewalk, and I stumbled where the sidewalk ramped down (then back up) for "cart crossing" (The sidewalk/ramp was not painted a different color to alert me of elevationn difference.)

My health insurance says Wal-Mart is liable. And Wal-Mart says that they were not "negligent" & that I fell on my own accord - therefore they are NOT liable.

Who is right?

Due to the severety/location of the fracture, I have undergone 2 surgeries & now have titanium plates/screws holding my tibia (shin bone) in place. And I can't afford to pay 100% of the hospital bills on my own.

Last year my boyfriend helped me take out a large student loan for school and he signed as the primary instead of the co-signer. I have been making the payments on the loan however all of the money has been spent...it is all gone. He took out the loan for me thinking I would only spend it on school tuition and in fact i used it on living expenses as well. I take responsibility in deceiving him and wish the whole thing had never happened. However I have no problem continuing to just pay on the loan but he wants his name off of it since the loan was used in ways he wasnt aware of and didnt sign accordingly for. Is there a lawsuit he can take up with me to take his name off of the account? Is there a legal agreement we can come to that says I am completely responsible for it? What type of lawyer would I speak to about this?
