here's the story: this man meets this fairly attractive young woman, spends the night with her, she starts following him here and there and generally behaving as though she is now his girlfriend. the two of them are in a pub one day when another bloke starts trying to pick her up. so her supposed boyfriend takes this guy out back and says you'd better think fast before i put a hurting on you coz that's my girl you're messing with, so the guy hands him a wad of cash and says how about you keep this and pretend you don't care what i'm doing. so being rather drunk and out of sorts he keeps the money and acts like he can't see what's happening. well the woman gets wind of what happened later on and she's right pissed off. she says she is going to go to the cops and have this guy prosecuted for trying to turn her out, as if he's a pimp or something. what's the chances she could be successful if she does report this as a crime?

I have a problem with the fact that you can be 18 and join the military fire weapons go to Iraq and get shot but you can't legally buy beer and alcohol

Then a teenager can't buy cigarettes, buy beer and alcohol, some can't get a license in some states, can't vote but CAN get charged as an "adult" for some crimes

Or this one an 18 and a 85yr old are okay but a 15 and 18 are bad yet the 15 and 18 are closer in age and are in the same high school in some circumstances

ju bored wondering LOL what do you think........

I know that people into subjects such as pedophilia or bestiality in this country are considered to be sexual offenders, especially for having possession of child porn on their computers. However, I was wondering if illustration wise if such images could be created legally. I know for instance there are illustrations out there depicting murder, rape, and torture of women (which is also immoral/illegal). I'd imagine that since that is legal to have such fantasy illustrations that other subjects would be also legally acceptable no?

I went to a lawyer blog website to find out if there are issues of a Union and fair representation. The lawyers that blogged in say I have no case. I find this hard to believe. I have an ongoing issue of harrassment with a coworker that lies to the UAW President and tries to get me in trouble. She has interrogated people I speak to and has spread malicious lies about me. The bad part is the UAW President is siding with her. When she makes a complaint and lies he will interrogate my supervisor and superintendent in an attempt to get them to say something he can use to get me in trouble. So far they have been honest and said I have no problems. This has been ongoing. When I have a complaint the UAW President shrugs it off and says he spoke to her and she said she didn't do it. I went to the HR dept. and was told that if I filed a complaint it would only make things worse. I am at my wits end. Any lawyers here who could help give some advice?

There was a petition filed against me to uphold a arbitration award. The court website shows a "return of original notice". What does that mean?

What I'm looking for is a citation of the specific law that states a citizen is subject to and liable for a federal income tax. Note that I am only asking about income tax. While the 16th Amendment does give Congress the power to lay and collect income tax, the 16th Amendment is not actually a law that lays an income tax. So I'm looking for some reference in the CFR or USC (probably in Title 26) or anything representing actual standing law, which once and for all states that American citizens owe income tax.

I've seen the argument many times over the past few years saying that there is no law. If there is a law, I would think that would be an easy answer to find, but I've not been able to find any law that requires an American citizen to pay taxes on what they earn through their labor. It seems that a lot of people have asked this question, but no one has ever really given a satisfactory answer.

Is it possible that we are actually tricked into paying taxes we don't owe?

George W. has issued more than 750 signing statements relating to issues such as use of torture, whistle-blowing by government employees and the obligation of the exectutive branch to give congress informantion. All other Presidents together until now have used it 600 times total.

"A signing statement is a written pronouncement issued by the President of the United States upon the signing of a bill into law.
There is an ongoing controversy concerning the extensive use of signing statements by President George W. Bush to modify the meaning of laws. In July 2006, a task force of the American Bar Association described the use of signing statements to modify the meaning of duly enacted laws as "contrary to the rule of law and our constitutional system of separation of powers".[1]

Can some one explain this power more and is this a further example of his abuse of power?

Kafeel Ahmed, 27, had been in the hospital for a month with burns from the alleged attack on June 30, which followed a day after two failed car bombings in London. The other man in the car, Iraqi doctor Bilal Abdullah, has been charged with conspiring to set off explosions.

"We can confirm that the man seriously injured during the course of the incident at Glasgow Airport on Saturday June 30 has died in Glasgow Royal Infirmary," said a spokesman for Strathclyde Police, speaking on condition of anonymity in line with force policy.

I bought a house in MAY the previous owner left a lot of his stuff in the garage and barn. I have been after him to remove it including a motorcyle. He has been caught in several lies and I've had enough. I want to speak with a attorney about my rights the laws for this type of stuff and find out what paperwork needs to be done. The closest one I found online says he does collections? I don't want to call a bunch up and ask them if they do stuff like this. So what kind of specialty should I look for. Also anyone have a idea of how much this is going to cost me? How long does it take to send the paper out. what should I have with me when I go talk with him? I'm not sure if I have this guys address will the lawyer be able to get that information.
Thanks so much

So my husband used to be my boyfriend and we lived apart. I was getting public benefits (TANF) for our son while he was out of work and sick. They had back child support and TANF repayments calculated on him, which he eventually started paying.

Now we're married and no longer on TANF, the child support and back child support orders have been dropped but they are wanting the TANF payments which we are making. ITS NOT CHILD SUPPORT THOUGH.

So will the TANF repayment debt be discharged in bankruptcy? On our Credit Report its listed as "Indiana Child Support Bureau", but it is not child support, nor back child support.

We're in Indiana if that helps and I have gotten different answers from lawyers about this.
