I don't know how to enforce it or how it would be legal but I think it is a good idea.

I believe that Welfare now requires women to use some form of birth control. For the last several years they do not get an increase in payment for more than 2 children. I don't know whatever happened to Welfare only being for wives of men who were killed in combat...that's what it was originally for. Some lazy women somehow managed to con the government into paying so they could sit on their butts. I think that there should be a limit as to how long someone can be on it. If they don't go to school to try to better themselves or are not actively looking for a job I think 5 years (After the birth of their first child) is long enough. Hollywood is not to blame for the downfall of kids morals. It is up to the parents to establish those. Hollywood is just pumping that crap out because people keep flocking to the theaters to see it. I have seen parents take young kids to "Shoot'em up" movies, and rated R movies when they are 6-10 years-old. Those parents ought to be slapped!

They cannot legally, because pregnancy and the right to choose whether or not to be pregnant is a fundamental right.

The same law that protects a woman's right to choose an abortion also protects her right to chose NOT to have one.

But if you want to make it so that all reproductive decisions are subject to govt approval -- you can try. China has certainly been successeful doing so.

that could not be enforced...but i think that young people need to be taught personal responsibility..Hollywood and the music industry have been a critical factor in the change of morals in American.

i see many movies that are suppose to be funny that glorify 'baby mommy' and baby daddy, it is sad for the children who will have absent parents, and will create more of the same.

I'm no history buff, but I think that's what Hitler did.
Where do we draw the line if we force people who were convicted of certain things to be sterilized? Maybe next, if you lose your job, you can't have kids. Or if you get into a drunk driving accident. Or hell, if you get into any accident at all!
Seems like too much of a slippery slope to me. I wouldn't want to get caught up in the avalanche -- would you?
