crime would not be reduced by legalizing cocaine. Cocaine is what makes people do a lot of crimes. The addiction will make a person do a robbery or a mugging just to get money to get it. As long as its illegal at least we can throw those lowlifes in jail and keep them off the streets to do more crimes at least for a little while!

I think mainly 1) people just don't like having druggies around in their neighborhood and 2) although the pharmaceutical companies are making billions rolling out drugs to people that don't need them, cocaine wasn't developed in a lab for some specific purpose, it's just for you to feel good. Unlike, say, Viagra which has specific practical purposes.

If ones intention is to destroy himself, then no one would stop them. Live like a hermit and do as they please.
One of the duty of the government using its police power, is to save upright citizens from crack users, to deter crimes or punish anyone who breaks the law.
If all people use crack, do you think they would be productive in the community. The case always is that crack users were law violators.

It has the tendency to turn people in to psychotic ego maniacs with just one smoke. How woud crime be reduced when people are spending 23hrs a day looking for a way to buy crack.

Not "EVERYONE" is doing it, and the risks outweigh any benefits. There are too many people that have undiagnosed heart problems that this can be deadly to, and if it was legalized more people would die. I have NEVER done any type of illegal drugs, so don't include law abiding citizens in your idiotic statement!

Because they make a lot of money by fighting drugs. Sure they spend it in intelligence and man power, but man free prison labor is where its at! Welcome back to slavery folks.
Time to rethink the War on Drugs.

Wow. Open a book and check out what happened to people before cocaine was made illegal. Google search "crack babies" and you'll see why it's illegal. Educate yourself to see what that crap does to your body and your brain, and stop listening to the pro-addictive drugs propaganda that's written by potheads and crack addicts.

You are ignorant and very mindless to say something like that. Legalizing it would just make it not illegal which would make crack and cocaine even more abundant. There would be even more crime, more people would be taking the drugs, the drug trade would increase dramatically and people would be more addicted to it. Your not a very smart person, are you?

cause more pl would do it including children. If they think its ok. Then, they will robb, steal, lie and do bad things to get it cause its so addictive. Once you have no money you do what you have to ....to get you fix.
Everything would be in chaos!! Familes, marriges....crime rate would go up.
More murders from bad deals cause there would be more of it, Overdoses.. etc
