Don't they (teachers, staff, administrators) realize how difficult this is for the child to witness? The secondary parent is not treated equally. Joint, shared custody. The secondary parent lives in another city due to job. The child goes back and forth between both households.

I have a personal problem here and don't know any lawyers in my town. I see lots of answers in this section, but some of them seem wrong. Can you trust lawyers on yahoo answers?

What would be some strong arguments reguarding this issue? I believe both are horrible for you....BUT....if cigs should be legal so should marijuana..I DONT smoke either, but I hate the fact that tabacco companys are allowed to kill 1000's of people daily...ONLY because the US cant tax marijaua because of illegal trade?

My grandma owns a duplex in Washington, my cousins live downstairs. She wants them to move out but they say they are invoking thier rights to live there. What is the best course of action to get them out? Do they have rights if they give them 60 days to move out?

What kind of rights does a father have over a child that was born out of wed lock. THis is a TN state issue, so if you know first hand in tennessee that would be great! My friend wants to know if she is able to leave her lousie boyfriend and move to a different state with their 3 month old baby. they were never married, and he has another kid. I know that marriage custody says you can not leave the state with out the fathers permission, but do the same rules apply if you were never married? BTW yes his name is on the childs Birth Certificate!

I hired a lawyer on a contigency basis since then he has told me he is in over his head and wants to call in a speciality lawyer he wants to hand the riens over to this guy and work with him. My question is I agreed to pay the first lawyer a percentage how is this other guy going to get paid? Do I have to give him a percentage as well or does it come out of lawyer #1 fees?

My wife has a law degree. Many years ago, when she was pregnant with my daughters it was recommended she get a 'scan' to rule out possible birth defects (I don't remember the type of 'scan', it could have been MRI, CAT, or something else).

We were referred by her ob/gyn to a radiologist. We called the radiologist to discuss concerned about subjecting fetuses to the scan. He said he 'normally would have no problem recommending the scan' and felt 'confident that there was no danger to the fetuses'. However, BECAUSE MY WIFE WAS A LAWYER he refused to do the scan. He flat out said he was concerned she would sue him if there were any problems or complications.

Is this ethical? It is acceptable for a doctor to edit their opinions or recommend against treatment because of the job their patients?

(We often wondered if we could have sued him anyway for making this statement)

In Newark before the citizens of the city became outraged. If the murder rate is so high over there and is up 50 percent then do something about it! Don't wait until something so messed up like a apparent robbery that turns into 4 people being shot execution style before it wakes the city up. The mayor, the people of the city, and the police need to grow some balls and start cleaning up that city!

The Social Workers for the DCFS or Children and Family Services or some of the highest paid State Jobs. The Department is hiring students even before they get out of school. The lies these people tell on families that is destroying families all across America. These Social Workers cannot be sued because they have amnesty, under the our Government. Is this Department being controlled by the ACLU, because this Department, has its own Government and Courts across
America. They are very secretive about what they are really
up to.When I saw this Department in action, I thought this cannot be happening in America, I knew immeditialy that something was wrong, what I saw was driven by evil. So I started to investigate what was going on myself. When you find
a Government and Courts hidden, by privacy. I began to cut articles and investigate on the internet what I could. This Department is covering abuse so bad, of experiments on children, by Drug Companies and other abuses. They have no voice

In another question, someone said that "in Ohio a man can't volunteer to give up his rights unless there is another man there willing to take on the responsibility".

Doesn't this sound like the government believes every child should have two parents regardless of what people think?

Is this correct? Or do you believe the govt is poking their nose where they don't belong?

Mainly the defense of insanity. Do you think it is abused or do you think it isn't used enough to help the mentaly ill? What do you think about victims right groups saying justice is not served if an insane criminal is put into an institution instead of prison?

I was rear-ended the other night and my car was totaled and the driver who hit me lost their life. It's very terrible & I am tore up about it but I have realized it's not my fault (police reports say the driver was speeding and it's their fault) I told my insurance company about it & if I file w/them I have to pay a $1000 deductable & they will only cover half the rental car. So...I am going to file with the other insurance company but will I be able to get a rental car until this thing is settled? I know insurance companies will give you a rental car until yours is repaired but since it's totaled will they give me a rental? The car that was totaled was my only vehicle. I also went to ER and I am ok but just got whiplash. What do I do? Also, the police report is not ready yet so I can't ask their insurance company this question just yet, just wondering from anyone else so that I can have peace of mind for the next few days. Thanks

I was wondering if I already owned my own residence before I was married if it would be ok if I was to get divorced, I do not want to lose it. Also my fiance has bad credit, would marrying her make creditors come after me. I want to make sure I would keep my place since it would be in my name only. Also, what would my obligations be if I were to get divorced financially? Thank you for any help

I am gonna rent a room off-campus with some other people. When I payed my deposit, the landlord gave me the receipt which was written in German (they've lived in German for couple or years...). This really didn't make sense to me. Then their explaination for me was that could make sure the receipt was given by her daughter ( her daughter lives in this house too, and we all pay our rents to her)...This really didn't make sense to me!!! I can't read German, even though the things her daughter will write on that (such as "deposit" or "water bill" things like that) is English, but I rent a room in the US, why should I get a receipt in German???!!!

Is this legal??? Should I accept this kind of receipt or should I argue with them? I wanna keep our relationship though, but I feel bad when I am treated like that...

Any helps??? Thanks!
