Y.P.Dhani is a pilot and her daughter Ms. Sumedha Dhani a lecturer. Does she have the right to ask for money from her son and daughter to survive. They say that it's not their duty to take care of her for whole life. Please help.

In comparison to life imprisonment w/o the possibility of parole, the country spends 2 to 5 times as much on people sentenced to death as opposed to people sentenced to life imprisonment ($2 to $5 million for death sentence; $1 million for life).

There are no credible statistics to proove that death penalty deters crime.

The brutalizing effect, says that when the government serves as a model for appropriate behavior, justifying death penalty as a solution to a problem teaches its citizens that killing someone is a solution to a problem.

Fact shows that predatory murderers have lesser brainwave activity than people who kill out of passion. People who kill in crimes of passion aren't fully aware of the severity of their actions. If you have lesser brainwave activity, you couldn't comprehend the severity of your crimes either.

Still believe in the death penalty?

A guy started working with us for one day and is filing sexual harrasment charges on me because I showed my testicles to a group of guys whom he was a part of in a joking manner and he took offense. He quit the next day and told my boss his grandma died and then went to hr and gave this story. Does this guy have a case? He spoke with hr and they are pulling people in one at a time to ask about the incident. Any advice?

Well my friend ( seriously not me ) have some BB/Pellet Guns and he told me that they are illegal in some states. I was wondering if Pellet guns and/or BB guns are legal in illinois because I saw a website that sells them for a reasonable price and I am interested in buying without being caught in any illegal action. ( All the BB/Pellet guns have a Orange tip by law )

Teens charged with sex abuse for slapping bottoms
Posted Jul 23rd 2007 2:34PM by Sandy Maple
Filed under: Health and Safety, Lifestyle, Middle school, Public school
Next month, two 13-year-old boys from Oregon will go on trial, facing charges of five counts of sex abuse and five counts of harassment . If convicted, these two could possibly receive 10 years in jail and the distinction of being labeled as sex offenders for the rest of their lives. What horrible crime did these boys commit? They slapped some girls on the butt.

Apparently, Cory Mashburn and Ryan Cornelison ran down a hallway at Patton Middle School last February, swatting the bottoms of the girls they passed. Bottom-slapping is against policy in the McMinnville Public Schools, so a teacher's aide sent them to the office. This would have been a good time to have a talk with these kids about inappropriate touching and possibly send them home to think about what they had done. Instead, they were interrogated for hours, handcuffed and sent to juvenile jail, where they spent five days.

Police reports and juvenile court records reveal that the butt-slapping incident occurred during what can only be described as a butt-slapping frenzy at Patton Middle School. For reasons not revealed, girls and boys were all slapping one another's bottoms with crazy abandon. Some students say this is a common form of greeting.

Since the incident, the female victims of the butt-slapping have recanted their statements to interrogators, saying they felt pressured at the time of questioning. One even admits that there was nothing sexual about the butt-slapping. However, one of the victim's mother thinks the charges are appropriate. "Slapping somebody on the butt is sexual harassment, and it is a crime," Rhonda Pope said. "Considering what was going on and that my daughter was offended, it is a crime. And it's not OK."

She's right, I guess. It is not okay to slap girls on the butt under any circumstances. But should these boys really be faced with charges of sex abuse? The McMinnville district attorney, Bradley Berry, says his office "aggressively" pursues sex crimes that involve children. "These cases are devastating to children," he said. "They are life-altering cases." He is no doubt referring to the girls, but it seems the boys are the ones whose lives will be altered in this case.

A lady at work lied and told my manager that I called her some foul names. I did not and even have a witness that I did not. I told my manager this but she chose not to believe me or the witness. I missed a whole days work. This is in my file for 2 years and I am a registered nurse and it will follow me wherever I go to work. I really did not say it and the I just can't believe people can make stuff up and ruin a person's character for no good reason. I went to our H.R. department and tried to grieve it but they said it was past the 5 day mark in our policies. I just do not beieve she should be able to get away with it. Thanks Laurie

My mom works for a dry cleaning service. The owner is paying a more senior employee less than a newer girl because the newer girl "has no other jobs or forms of income." The more senior girl lives with her mom, so he refuses to pay her more because she doesn't pay rent. I'm in HR and I say that's not right. He's using his personal opinions and their personal lives to determine pay. They both hold the same job title and do the same duties. The girl being paid less has worked there longer. Don't you think that's CRAP??? He's also paying a 16 year old less than minimum wage and saying it's legal.

We moved from Canada to the US almost 3 years ago and now applying for Green Card, but our lawyer is so dumb he has been making mistakes and errors multiple times in the past few months on important documents, its to late to change lawyers also. Today was the final set of documents before we send it in and there were well more than 30 spelling mistakes, errors, grammar mistakes on all the important papers.

Now let say i cant get my green card because of my lawyers's dumb mistakes, am i able to sue him?

I thought my compensation teacher said it was 15 years or younger, but my mom said her boss is paying a 16 year old employee less than the minimum wage (in Illinois). Is that legal? I just graduated with my HR degree, but I can't recall for sure.

A close friend of mine recently found out he has a 12 year old son from a brief encounter back in high school. The woman never told him about the child and she is now married to someone else that the child calls "dad". For reasons unknown (although I can gue$$), after 12 years of zero contact (he has never left the neighborhood he grew up in and would've been extremely easy to find) she has suddenly decided to sue for 12 years back child support, reimbursement for medical expenses while she was pregnant, reimbursement for any medical bills the child has incurred in the last 12 years, and of course child support from here on out. A DNA test has proven paternity. My friend has no problem supporting his child and is extremely happy to have a son. However, he is angry and devastated that he was robbed of the first 12 years of his child's life. Can this woman be held accountable for what she has done?

There are strong arguments in favor and against death penalty.
Favor. The penalty of death penalty is constitutional because it not more severe than the effect on the victim.
Opponents. All killings are wrong. Life without parole will always stop a murderer from doing more killing.
