I rented out a house that still had the electric service in my name. I just found out the guy did not transfer the service into his name and I am being charged for his electricity useage. What legal charges can I file against him? And, can I turn the electricity off since it is in my name, even though he is living in the house? This is in the state of Ohio.

Or protects it? I understand that classified intelligence is protected but then why would this term have to be used? What is the precedent; I have heard Tony Snow mention George Washington's administartion but I don't recall an incident where Washington invoked "executive privilege".

This is a straightforward question. I am not making a statement for or against the Bush administration. Please do the same when answering this... I only want facts, not opinions. Liberals and conservatives please go to another question if you want to spew your political opinions please.

I personally can find nothing in the Constitution that uses this term in this way (admittedly, I have only scanned it). I am hoping that a lawyer or someone in the legal profession can answer this.

If everyone, at least in the US to start, were asked to give fingerprint and DNA samples. If they have nothing to hide there should be no problem right. Let alone think of all the unsolved crimes that could be solved and the fact that people would be more afraid to commit a crime knowing that their samples are on file.

Its come down to 24 hours to deal with her, or the Justice system. 1 Child involved. Child and Ex live 1k miles from me. I dont want her to use my reality in court to bury me. I am a fuch up. Lost communications with child for few months now, du to BLOW. Lost my job. Car..............yep, its gone too. Evicted also. Im a real smart guy huh??? Truth is, drugs didnt mess me up, FMLA did. I'm on a donotcall list, yet collectors who have the WRONG number constantly call using a computer automated voice system, prompting me to call back, the number on the caller I.D. allways seems to be a dummy number to throw off complaints against them, should the FTC be doing something about this? and should telephone companies have the capacity to help protect the consumer from these calls as well, or are they playing both sides for thier benefit?

I'm sure it wasn't ment as mean but the fact that insurance and our court system and all got involved was (is) so riduculous to me it is beyond rthoughtless. I'm sure he could have even taken photos and given them only to the employee and still had a joke and he won't have lost the employee or delt with all the money deal-I really can't blame the employee as it was passed around with her knowledge-how stupid. In fact-the whole thing is stupid!

Say for example someone offered you $2,000 to put fake tusks in your mouth and take a photo, then show it to your friends. Would you take it? Chances are you would.

So, why does the legal system believe that the photo is valued at $1,000,000? ($250,000 out-of-court settlement + another $750,000 from the insurance company because that just wasn't enough).

email scammers, what can I do about them? How can I get even, or stop them?
I hope this is right catagory.. I post a lot of ads on Craigs List, but most of emails I recive are people wanting to send bogus checks,and have me send check to shipping company I DO NOT BLAME CRAIGS LIST

i have a friend who has been accused of beating up another individual fairly severely. the victim was hospitalized for 2-3 days. he was punched and kicked until he was unconscious. now my friend is worried that he will go to prison for this. allegedly the victim hit my friend as well, but he was not injured. the victim further used racial slurs towards my friend. my friend suffers from a condition called "intermittent explosive disorder" where it is, at times, impossible for him to control his reactions when he is angered. we live in the state of wisconsin. any advice on whether he will most likely do prison time or will he be allowed out on probation? i know there is no certainty, just looking for educated guesses. also, what charges could he incur?

I HAVE ALREADY CALLED AND E-MAILED EVERY COUNTY AND LOCAL AGENCY. I have custody of my daughter in wisconsin, I live in florida. I am afraid my violent drug adicted ex will try to take her (for spite).
I can easily get custody transfered from wisconsin to florida by filing the papers here.
the problem is it costs $255.00. I am on disability and don't recieve (court ordered) child support.
how do i go about filing if I can't pay this outrages fee?

The main excuse we hear for not reintroducing capital punishment is it is not a deterent. If capital punishment isn't a deterent either is prison. So what can we do to protect the most vunerable, because that is the point of the justice system.
