If a girl makes a false accusation of indecent assault and you are ostracised, what remedies are there?

Is this slander or actually a criminal offence?

2007-07-09 09:02:44 · 2 answers · asked by Perseus 3

more examples:

shoplifting
make 'bump keys'
make bombs
making your own fake id's
etc.

is it illegal to provide instruction, or could you be held liable? or would you just have to but up a warning to say you don't condone illegal behavior, but then post a 'how to anyway'?
would you have to be more specific and post a legal code saying im entitled to post? whats the story?

Ok, I got punched in the face, total cheap shot. The guy was charged with battery and has court in September. I had to go to the hospital. Now, I went to the police station today and the report I received does not reflect everything I said...it seems as if the cop made stuff up...not sure why? I didn't say some stuff in there and some stuff is untrue. What do I do? Also...how much could I sue this guy for in civil court?

They obviously aren't educating their own children on the subject. It's being left up to movies, tv, and music in most cases. My aunt told me she's not going to talk to her children about sex til they're 16, my cousin is 14 and has had more partners then i have at 21.... Great plan, leave it up to the parents that truly think that their angelic kids don't know anything besides the mechanics of sex.

According to infoplease.com abortions in general have decreased significantly BUT the ages at which the average girl getting an abortion is much lower... in one state it jumps from the average age of 28 in 1988 to age 14 in 1996. Other states jumped from 25 & 26 to 16. Some parents of must be of a new opinion "we don't have to tell our girl about protection, we'll just get her an abortion".

Blue Peter ie The B.B.C. have been fined £50,000 for the phone in scam they were found guilty of.
THIS MONEY WILL BE PAID BY THE LICENCE PAYERS!
In other words you and I!
So if we are paying the fine then logically we are guilty of a criminal offence and now have a criminal record!

Hiya, at complete wits end at the moment as the title suggests! My post ex of a stepfather had a 3year affair while with my mum and then left her, now wants our home sold and proceeds to him! He barely contributed to the costs, but is taking mum to court. She earns absoloutly nothing, but legal aid aren't interested! She has to go back to court soon, which apparently will cost £30,000 (stupid utter madness!!) She spends her days crying and is a wreck! He doesnt pay any child maintenance, so she pays absoloutly every bill and goes without anything! He is in mega debt, but is likely to have a barrister and lawyer in court and wants everything off mum! She hasnt got a pension and only money is the house, what to do!!! Anyone got any fab ideas, as most solicitors are demanding up front funds, which she doesnt have! Any advice would be soo apreciated! Thankyou in advance

I work in a nursing home in the laundry dept. Lately when a resident aquires MRSA we are the last to know. They don't tell us usually we find out on our own and I just want to know if this is truly following hippas guidelines or if they are being a little uptight. I would've thought we had the right to know since we have contact with the resident's clothing and sometimes the resident.

I frequent a private "bar" and there is a membership fee. I paid the membership fee, but have been told by the owner that some of the other customers "ex-boyfriends" do not want me there anymore. Can they legally kick me out? And if I make the same complaint about the "ex-boyfriends" will they have to do the same to them? Do I have any legal rights?

I bought a motorcycle fender. They shipped promptly. I sent them an email to ask if they could adjust the cost to reflect a subtraction of 25 dollars for the bounced check fee and I wanted them to provide proof of payment etc. They did not respond to my email.

My uncle is the executor of my grandparents estate and the Will states the the assest are to be devided equally between my father and him (a strait 50/50). My uncle has refused to communicate with my dad and has sent letters to the realestate agent and title company demanding that they write one check for the propertiy being sold to him; moreover, he tells them that they cannot give him (my father) the name of the estate attorny(who drafted the Will), nor the title company or any information whatsoever regarding the sale of this property, or the other property that is listed.
What he is planning to do is keep a 100% of the proceeds so he can buy a house cash as he has been living with my grandparents, and feels that although my father has a mortgage he should not. Then when and if the cabin sells ( the second property) split that with my dad to even things up, whenever that happens.

Go nuts! I'm not going to put my opinion, I don't want anyone to be influenced. I want some good, solid arguments for and against.

Arguments not accepted (unless you can prove that they are true): Any reference to foxhunting as pest control; foxhunting is cruel (be more specific please)

My husband had something sent to his aunt's house, addressed to him; but she opened it, and is now telling him she will not let him have it. Isn't that illegal in the U.S.? She said that it wasn't b/c it had her address on it; but still it had HIS name on it.

Help me out!

I live in the state of georgia and i've had a pending felony charge against me for two years now. I called the DA's office today and they don't have a indictment or nothing. They said it could be another year or so before it ever comes back up. Is'nt that crazy. Why would it take so long to come back? My stupid lawyer (which is a public defender) keeps telling me he will call me back every time i ask about him fileing a motion for a speedy trial. Should i get another lawyer?
