My neighbor, who apparently has no job or hobby, has decided to continually spy on me and my two children and has apparently made it her aim to get us removed from our house. We are very quiet and law abiding, but she is continually harassing us by complaining to the homeowner's assoc of our rented condo. This newest thing is now she is calling the humane society on me every chance and telling them I am abusing (!) our elderly blind dog. She flat-out lied and told them the dog is left by herself with no food shade or water and has written me notes saying I am engaging in animal cruelty. It is sad since our dog basically just snoozes on the porch when she likes, and has open access to the house all day from the back porch. I am scared she is going to make up something to child services next at this rate. Every time my son cries, I am fearful she is going to take it to the next level of harassment. What should I do? Can I seek a restraining order?

My dad died in march and we paid a lawyer $2500 to probate his will but my dad had a woman living with him and she has a handwritten will that isnt finished. anyway My lawyer is dragging his feet and messing up. He told me last week that he didnt havea will but he gave me a copy of my dads will so i had to fax my copy so they would know what to lookfor in my dads living trust binder. My mom died 4 years ago and left everything to dad who was supposed to leave it to me and my brother. I dont have a lot of money and the things are mostly stuff from my mom. Does anyone know where i might get some legal help that doesnt cost much? Do you know a lawyer in the golden triangle in Texas that might let me pay out the case? Any suggestions will help Thank You And God bless

I post this in response to this question:

I realize that the person is a troll trying to envoke rage. But This topic actually happens. As I stated in my response a woman (LaShanda Calloway) was stabbed in a store on june 23rd and a total of 12 people walked over her while she was bleeding on the floor, one even stopped to take pictures on his cell phone. This happens all the time in this country, The term sociologist coined is "by-stander apathy", or the incident where someone is in obvious distress and people around them just continue to walk away oblivious to the pain and suffering of others.

Okay so my question is, should we have some sort of "good Samaritan law", that requires people to lend a hand to those in trouble? What are your views as to why people seem so uncaring to their fellow man.

I know that in the United States, a civilian woman has the right not to put the father on the birth certificate - but do the same rights apply to a single mother in the military? I have a friend in the military who is pregnant and unsure and doesn't want to go to chain of command just yet....

I heard many stories about online schools: "they are good, they are bad, they are accredited, yes, they count, no they dont count"...regardless of what is said about the online schools, how do employers or big corporations carry it out when hiring someone with an online degree? do they count? has actually anyone graduated from an online school and gotten a job?....

I asked a business owner about this...and his reply was:

"Yeah, by all the other suckers who paid their money to get a quick and easy degree for little or no effort. But, if you came to my office to apply for a job with one of those "degrees", I'd call the janitor to sweep you and you useless paper work OUT of my building. God Bless you"....

what do you think??

What were the specific charges? What acts were alleged that led to the intictment, trial and conviction? what evidence was presented for each side? What are the alleged grounds for appeal?

I'm asking this because the questions and answers here all seem to be discussing everything but the specifics. Any details would be appreciated. Thanks.

In regard to the President refusing to comply with subpoenas issued relating to the midterm firing of the US Attorneys, Hatch said there were just some thing the President would not share with Congress, and things Congress would not share with the President. Since this issue has nothing to do with national security, why would there be items that the people of the United States is not entitled to know? Neither the President nor Congress should work "in secret", that is, secreting their deeds from the Citizens they are suppossed to be serving.

Many peoples lives are destroyed beacause of the criminal penalties on mariuana. Currently, it is classed as a schedule 1 narcotic along side heroin. That is like classing a rubber spatula into a wepons category along side semi-automatic wepons. It just does not belong there!
Alcohol and perscriptin drugs are more deadly then marijuana! No one has ever been reported to overdose or die from smoking marijuana. (There have been deaths from ben gay!!! But not marijuana)

Lets stop the insanity people.

If marijuana was legalized and taxed, we could elimate our budget defict in a matter of a decade or so.

Fort Lauderdale's Republican Mayor Jim Naugle wants to spend a quarter million dollar on a robotic toilet that is supposed to make it more difficult of gay people to have public sex on the beach. This is clearly homophobic of him, as he stated "We're trying to provide a family environment where people can take their children who need to use the bathroom," he said, "without having to worry about a couple of men in there engaged in a sex act."

http://blogs.usatoday.com/ondeadline/2007/07/mayor-fights-ph.html?csp=34

My questions for this joke of a mayor:

1. You think three minutes is sufficient time to go to the bathroom? You don't have young kids, do you?
2. According to your plan, the stall's door opens after three minutes, so that those outside can see in. Using your logic, wouldn't this expose more people to seeing gay sex occur?
3. I never knew gay people were the only ones that had sex in public restrooms. Do you have a bit of inside knowledge of that?

I have a serious question I would like to ask you. Is there such law or ordinance for those who keep bothering me? I am talking about the next door neighbor. I found a beer bottle thrown at my back yard yesterday. Then, I they seems to be ALWASY spying on me. If I do something enjoyable or make up a home improvement, they always do something to catch up with me or check my things out, etc. They do it in such a sneaky nasty way, you can not prove it, but my heart knows what they have been up to. That kind of harrassment. I do not feel safe living here, unhappy since day 5 I moved to this place. I moved here to get settled in after giving myself a thought for 5 years giving up my 5 acre w/ a house in Groveland to be closer to Karate. I love the house, and the location, but hate the neighborhood. The new people just moved in directly across from my bad neighbor is nice and quiet, but they belong to "red neck" kind where they have beat up cars, and 4, 5 cars parked in frond yard. The bad

However, he ignored it and did not remove the material within the 10 days time that I had given him. What options do I have now?

I am based in the USA, but unfortunately have the trademark and copyright of the product in the USA alone. The world-wide rights are held by another company. So can I actually sue the guy by appointing a legal representative in China?

What other options do I have and in what ways can he possibly retaliate? Is it easy to fight a case in another country?

Money / legal expenses are not a problem for me but I first need to know if I can actually do anything, or, if I have to contact the company holding world-wide rights and ask them to sue the guy?

Thanks a ton for any help.
