Ok...now appearing in front of a traffic judge...will this lower the fine, with all appropriate steps taken to repair the windshield? Or is would it be a waste of time?

No, when you failed to appear, a judge put a bench warrant out. You have to appear before a traffic court judge for the area where you got the ticket.

Not appearing for your court date was not a smart idea ... an arrest warrant for failure to appear in court has been issued against you -- that is why you have to pay a $600 bail now. It is a promise you will appear in court for your next court date (since you missed you last one), and you will receive it back from the court's clerk office (minus any fines or fees) after your court date. Irregardless of the fact you have corrected the original violation you're not going to have your fine reduced to its original amount -- judges really don't like it when people miss court dates.

If the original violation the 'fix-it' ticket was issued for has been corrected then that legal issue is taken care of, but you're going to have to pay a fine now, since you didn't take care of it in time. Most likely it will not be more than $600, so they will just deduct it from your bail.

My advice is to PAY THE BAIL, AND SHOW UP FOR YOUR COURT DATE THIS TIME. If you screw around with this any more its just going to get worse and worse ... they will keep on adding to the severity of the violation until you'll be looking at possible jail time, and very hefty fines (in the thousands of dollars).

You have a warrant for your arrest I imagine.

Go to court and explain your situation to the judge. However, you did miss your court date and that tends to upset judges. So it probably won't be a $10 ticket anymore.

You can pay the $600 now, just to get rid of the warrant. That $600 isn't your fine, it is just your promise to appear. If you go to court, you get it back, minus the actual fine and court costs.

The "bail" is basically to ensure that you show up for court next time. That's the point of bail -- a fine if you don't show up.

You need to go to court at the appointed time, explain what happened to the judge, apologize for missing the earlier court date, and ask nicely for what you want.

I have been given a value tag for that too. They suggested no tint allowed interior the front seat abode windows in any respect, no longer even the lightest tint a threat. So I had to get rid of it and placed across it to the courthouse, so an officer can make certain I took the tint off.
