I'm unable to pay civil citation in the time i was given?

I was given a 30 day extenstion for a civil citation issued by the DNR ( fishing lines left unattended 95 doller fine) . i called the court and asked for an additional 20 days to pay it and was told they cant extend it but for me to make the payment anyway at that time and no warrants will be placed on me. how is that possible since i will be paying ticket 20 days after my extenstion due date?

Get the promise not to issue a warrant in writing.

Or better yet, go to the court and ask the judge for the extension -- calling over the phone just gets a clerk.
