start by looking in a dictionary for the definitions of 'authority' and 'power'. see if there are any subtle differences in the meanings, this might give you a clue as to where to begin.
Initially i would have agreed, however...money gives you power, but does it necessarily give you authority?

I think that it amounts to who ever has the most money. that my friend is who has and dictates the authority.
