The local under sheriff has engaged in activity biased to an unlawful attempt to evict me from my own home. My home was given to me by my ex-mother-in-law, and now (8 yrs later) she feels she wants it back for her grandson and his tort for a wife. It is mine and if they messed up by serving me with the first petition without a summons, I need to know how this can work to my benefit.

If prostitution were legal it could be regulated and all but eliminate forced prostitution. Those that wish to do that line of work should have the option.

As for gambling, shouldn't a person be able to do what they want to do with their own money?

If a Law was passed saying a bar owner can post that. it is a smoking establishment. The owner chooses to be a smoking establishment. Why as responsible adults, or person seeking employement, just turn around and go else where. The reason as a non smoker, I feel the laws that are being passed know in reguards to this question, are a continuation of loss of rights.
Whats next food? If the Goverment thinks smoking is that bad why not outlaw it and be done. It is allowed to be sold because of the revenue it generate's. If I have laid out 500,000 dollars to opn a place choose to be a smoking bar,and can't meet payroll. The next step would be to go non smoking. My spouse smokes, I am not going to get rid of her, but I have a choice to leave the room. I do.

Our company had an office Christmas party, which they made mandatory for all employees to attend. This included an anonymous gift exchange, where we were required to bring a small gift of roughly $10 value. Despite informing my supervisor that I'd rather not attend, I was told that I would have to, so I might as well enjoy myself.

I went down to the local adult toy store and bought one of those anal plugs. I wrapped it up and brought it to the gift exchange party. As luck would have it, my supervisor was the one that received the anal plug, and he was none to happy about it. Now he's threatening to find the person responsible and fire them.

Can he legally do this? If it turns out that I do get fired over this, can I sue since I was forced into attending a party that I would've preferred not to attend?

The safe rooms that are being suggested by ruth kelly to be the answer to domestic violence must be very expensive. Surely we can do better than making vitims of this crime hide away. If they are in that much danger, can the police not arrest the partner responsible! I believe we should support the victim 100% but that support should be to remove the problem not treat the symptoms! What does everyone else think?

This is my first winter in my rental home, and I have discovered that there is little to no weatherstripping on ANY of the windows. Any time the wind blows (which is often) it is FREEZING in every room of the house. There are also HUGE gaps around the front and back doors that are not stripped. I called my landlord and left a voicemail requesting she get back to me- no response.

I live in Arizona, and have tried looking up all the tenant laws, they say that she is responsible for making the house "fit and habitable"- I don't know if insulation and weatherstripping falls into this category or not. I only know I'm sick of running the heater 24/7 in the warmest state in the country because this place won't hold any warmth due to the massive gaps.

Anyone have any insight?
