I know the yanks are both crazy and crazy about guns but, does there actually exist a law in the American Legal system that pardons you with a gun crime if you have been found to have been eating twinkies before you shoot someone?
Please don't tell me that“Twinkies Defense”actually exists please don't....

The Twinkies defense is not a law, but someone was acquitted of first degree murder because they had a high blood sugar do to too much Twinkies. Its not first degree murder without some planning. If you shoot someone off the cuff, its probably not going to be first degree.

I don't think we are crazy, and an armed society is a polite society (and a safe one).

LOL...I join you in praying this isn't true.

I in Illinois a few months ago and attempted to eat a 'twinkie' bought at a 'gas' station.

Following the attemp I can well undestand the link between twinkies and gun crime, if it is only the temptation to get revenge on the spawn of the devil that sold it to you.

if you look at enough case law you can find some strange stuff so i cannot say that it never happened but if so it was one of those strange cases that makes no sense at all. juries and judges take leave of their senses from time to time. its surely not common and most times would fail the giggle test. i've never heard of a sugar high being a defense.
