A teacher is accused of professional misconduct. Misconduct can mean anything from raising their voice to be heard in class to poor classroom management. When accused by a parent or child the Child Protective agency goes on a "witch hunt" to ensure the teacher is removed from the classroom and with any luck fired. The police are the only ones who can lay charges. If the police say there has been no criminal activity shouldn't the Child Protective agency take note of this and drop the allegations against the teacher?

Okay. Thanksgiving day, I had all my relatives over my house. There was no place to park in my driveway, so I park in the street, just in front of my driveway. Later that night I go out to see a movie (me and my brother went in his car), come home and see my car smashed up a little bit (now it is backed into my driveway).

Turns out the neighbor backed into my car while I was gone. At first she’s telling me that if I need any of her insurance info, its no problem... then she follows up and says "even though your car WAS parked illegally.."

She’s also claiming that I was parked in front of her mailbox, which I know I was not, because I am always conscious about doing so. However- her son is a cop and I’m afraid he can make the story fit however he wants. (He was standing beside her, out of uniform pretty much to intimidate me)

So my question is- is she not fully responsible for this incident?
Roads were fine and everything. By the way I am in Michigan. Thanks in advance

I was at Home Depot one time, and after paying for my item they forgot to deactivate the thing that sets the alarm off. Well, I started to leave and the thing goes off, so they run over as if I'm a shoplifter and treat me as such until they see the receipt. My buddy was like, "We should have just ran for it." I go to thinking, what's the worst that could happen if you do that, providing you did in fact pay for the item and have the receipt?

I was traveling at approx 30 Mph on a major mountain highway in Oregon. Road conditions were icy with a thin layer of snow. I had studded tires on my SUV. Chains were not required. There was no visible gravel nor sand on this portion of the highway. I lost all traction, slid for about 20 seconds fishtailing until finally clipping the front of an oncoming mini van. I was able to regain control and park off the side of the road. No one was injured but the damage was bad enough to contact state police. 3 gravel trucks arrived prior to State police and heavily graveled the roads. After police noted statements I was cited with a $427.00 careless driving ticket. Honestly I feel I didn't deserve this citation. My question is, does anyone think I have a legitimate case against this ticket and If so how do I go about fighting it? And, will it be worth it? Or do I plead no-contest, submit a letter and hope for the best?

My son was basically taken over by intimidating people like his grandfather who did not want him to have it too hard and encouraged him to ignore authority and be lazy and get all he can sexually from girls etc. He was an aweful influence. But teenagers will cater to intimidation especially if it encourages them to rebel more against the parents who are trying to make them fly right. So he was doing what he could without anyone being able to check him on it and it all started at 18 years of age. There are meany kids out there whose parents cannot control them even when they try because there is nobody out there with backbone willing to say boo to another person's child! Parents are not always to blame!

I find that the reason my son is in such a predicament is because too many people that made sense never talked to him. Is this the way we should be raising our kids, just each of us thinking that it is the parents job to do it all? How did we get that way?

At 32 years old,he is 5' 6" tall 135 lbs, in jail for going 60mph down wrong side of road destroying a private fence and flipping this car 4 times to total it. He may have been trying to outrun police with drugs. This son has been intimidated by a grandfather when he was quite young to think that he doesn't need to pay bills, study, keep his nose clean, maintain a steady relationship, work hard, obey traffic laws or pay fines and that all the money he earns is his to keep. He went from that influence to younger larger builds of men intimidating influence, some larger persons who had kids by multiple women, did not pay child support and did drugs. So my son got into drugs and seemed to adore that lifestyle. He is waiting trial on the driving to endanger charge and destruction of property charges. He has been there 6 months so far in jail awaiting trial. What can be done to help him grow up? He has a 6 year old son by an ex wife who condoned his drug usage with her cousins.

He was charged with possesion with intent and conspiracy to commit a crime. He was sentenced to 5 years each a total of 10 yrs and 5 years following parole. 5 of those years were suspended and he is serving 5 years and then getting 5 years on paper. He has no prior felony or misdemeanor offenses. He had 1 job for 5 years. I need to know if a total of 15 years is right for him to be sentenced to in Mississippi? I think he should be able to get out earlier than what they are saying. We have 3 children and it is hard trying to make it by myself. He is a good man that made 1 mistake in his life. Who can I talk to that can get him out and what programs can I go through. He has a job already lined up with the company his dad works for and he has good family support. Please let me know what I can do.

In New York State, more than 40% of abortions are paid for with Medicaid dollars (stats available through the health department Vital stats.) Considering the moral problem many have this with this issue, should tax dollars be allowed to fund it? Keep in mind, this is an elective surgery to treat a condition that is brought on by personal choices. Only 1% of abortions are due to rape or incest.
