Yes, there is a possibility of a husband being charged for Raping a wife -- and that is when the husband forces the wife, and she definitely says "NO!" -- most often seen in cases of Domestic Violence.

It the law in Canada and the US and in many other Western countries. It especially useful in cases when the couple are having difficulties or are estranged and the husband rapes the wife and could not be charged because he has "marital rights" over right. Laws forbidding a man from being charges with the rape of his wife stem from old patriarchal notions that a wife's duty was to sexually submit to her husband and violation of this would be a violation of her marital duties. Messed up, isn't it?

In America it is a felony to rape your wife, if she doesn't want to have intercourse and you force her than you can be charged with marital rape. I must add it is very hard to prove because the fact that you are married but you definitely get charged with spousal abuse.

yes, spousal rape is possible just because you're married doesn't mean you automatically consent to sex everytime its hard to hold up in court, because its hard to prove however if there are clear signs that the woman was hit or the entrance was volient then she has a good case although the husband could easily argue that they were into consentual S&M sex if you google "spousal rape convictions" then a whole bunch of cases come up

the female can blame the husband and the courts will most likely listen and the male/husband will have to pay lots of $$$ to stay out of jail.
I have seen it way to many times, where people were actually innocent, but the courts didnt care, they just want the $$$

By law, it is the DUTY of a wife to provide sex to the husband. If not there is reasonable grounds for the husband to divorce the wife. However, if they have been living apart, then the husband can be charged for rape.
