every day we learn that our politicains lie to us why cant we do anything?
they are our employes we pay them from our taxes. if i lied to my boss i would get sacked strait away.

why do we have to wait 4 or 5 years before we can vote them out.

the only day you have any power over your government is on voting day. then after that you have no power. they can promise you the whole world the day before election but there is nothing there to say they will have to keep there promises after you vote.and they can keep on lying for the next 4 or 5 years and you cant do anything about it . oh what a great democracy we live in . we are just numbers to them. they need spin doctors to make there lies sound convincing. and we pay for them to.

ALL politicians are liars and cheats. They sleep or buy their way to their positions and then spout lie after lie after lie in the name of democracy. Nothing about the UK voting system is democratic - it's not even a secret ballot - if you notice your voting number (taken from the elctoral register) is imprinted on your ballot paper - so they even know how you vote. The way votes are counted is shambollic and easily open to error (deliberate or otherwise). Only a small percentage of the population ever vote - so if there were enough abstainers we could quite easily have a Monster Raving Looney as Prime Minister. Oh, hang on.... we do!!

They all lie.When you vote,you are voting out 1 bunch of liars,& voting in another.You cannot have a Democracy when you have political parties,because members have to toe the party line.The best system would be if all those elected were Independants.

Vote the swines out of office at the next election, especially the ones who knew their leaders were lying to the voters and went along with it for the sake of the fat perks they take every year.

Start a recall petition. Gather enough signatures and vote the liar out of office.

Vote them out as soon as you can. Remember though that all politicians are exellent at not giving the whole truth, that's why they're politicians in the first place.
