Would it be illegal, for a coworker to go through another co workers desk, and read something like a personal journal. And then Fax the contents to other people. Is that illegal, or just wrong? It wasn't proprietary information, just personal to the employee.

We had a session with a prof. photographer for sons, ages 1 and 2. Stressing we needed the earliest time to work around naps, the photographer was 20min late. After poses the kids no longer wanted to sit.We said it was best to move to candids. There were toys and they were having a great time playing. She kept forcing more posed ones -then tried to bribe them with a TREAT for after. To 1 and 2 year olds, treat means treat NOW. We said no, this created a meltdown. All I had was movie candy, and it stained the mouths. The photographer, said no problem, she can fix that after and soon ended the session 30min EARLY!Saying she had what she needed. After seeing the proofs, they werent just bad, but didnt meet the minimum number stated and arrived later than stated. We civilly asked about this, she went off calling us bad parents for the candy .She wont return calls/emails.We're out $70 for the sitting.Kids can be hard to photograph, but her actions made this more difficult. Think we have small claim?

Does "freedom of speech" in America mean I have the "right" to say whatever I want to even to the extent that what I say is nothing more than prejudiced hate messages, or is that a distortion of what a "right" is?

PLEASE keep in mind I am talking about the link between freedom of speech and the concept of RIGHTS in America. Don't tell me about lawful censoring or unlimited freedoms, I'm asking is it a RIGHT that our concept of freedom of speech includes spreading hate messages?

And if you're the pseudo-intellectual who likes to preface your answer by saying, "I think the question could have been better poised," please answer another question!

I currently have a lease with a roommate but I had to move out because she became jealous and ruined a lot of my clothes. I have found another person to cover my portion of the rent. The apartment complex she is and i was at, was income based. She immediatly offered me the apartment and filled out the applications once she saw my income. I am not even sure if she pulled a credit report. I told my roommate since I have found someone to move in and cover my rent, then she should sign me off the lease. But she is refusing to do that. That is the only way I can get out of the lease. I am planning on moving in with my fiance into a new place and we will be signing the lease together. What I need to know is if I do not tell them I am on another lease( I know this is unethical lying), is there a way for them to find out? As in, is it directly listed on my credit report that I am on another lease? If so, can I sign two leases?

the marijuana laws are a perfect example. you might be able to smoke weed according to californias state law{approved of course} but on the federal level it is against the law and federal officals can and will arrest you.
so what is the use in fighting the issue of gay marriage on a state level when even if it does pass on the federal level it is a moot point unless it is recognised by the federal government.

My boyfriend recently got remanded it is not the first time he has been in prison. On the first visit I went to, I was searched as normal, I went into the main hall, sat down but as soon as my partner sat down we kissed each other (just a plain old kiss), next minute an officer came over and said the visit was over because he suspected I had passed him something, which is not true. So now I am on closed visits. This has happened to us before. Scott was searched and nothing was found they said they have video evidence of me trying to regurgetate something in the visits hall and I looked nervous, but after I sent them a letter, they replied saying they had seen me walking down the corridor which leads to the visits hall, I bent down behind my 20 month daughter and put something in my mouth. All this i can tell you is lies. In these cases they show the prisoner video evidence, but they have not, he has taken a urine sample with was negative. Can they do this and what can I do?

My daughter will be 12 in January and her non custodial father, whom she doesnt have much of relationship with anyways, upset her bad recently. He is in Wisconsin, we are in Okalhoma, she was born in Texas. She has never resided in Wisconsin but child support is there. No custody arrangemnets ever. I just worked with him on visitation. But now, after she asked him not to he got a lawyer and wants to have legal visitation rights. This was thrown out of WI court last time he did this. Judge said WI didnt have juristiction? if for some reason it works this time, and he wants to make her come to see him and she doesnt want to, I wont make her. Any one know the age that she can tell the court this? And it actually matter. She doesnt want anything to do with him...

Been fighting with Cap. One in regards to an account they state that I opened. Never did.

I sent out letters (certified) asking for a copy of my signature on the contract - they never sent me one. I followed all of the dispute things to do.

I was served to go to court - I asked them then AGAIN for proof of my signature on this account - none provided. They stated that due to "me" using this account - this is my acknowledgement of the account. I NEVER USED THIS ACCOUNT - because I never had an account with them.

I have to go to trail.

So...just because someone opens up an account (wherever they did, probably on the interent) - they can sue me or YOU?

I can not afford an attorney - I need some help here.....

I recently ended a relationship with a guy I dated for a few months after I walked in on him in bed with another girl. Not surprisingly, I recently discovered that he has video tapes hidden all over his room to record girls having sex with him. There are 5 girls, atleast, that have been video taped, including myself. NOT one of these girls knows about this or has consented to it. He has not sold nor posted these for viewing online, but has, however, showed them to multiple people, one of which will testify to this. Again, none of the girls have consented to this and there are more than likely a handful more tapes with other girls, who also have not consented. At this time, no minors are known to be on these tapes. However, he is blantently screaming deceit in these videos, as he flicks the girls off (gives the finger) behind their backs and laughs and smiles at the video camera. I am totally disturbed and would like to press charges. Is this illegal in the state of PA?

I've never used eBay before. I was looking for vintage postcards/stamps and other collectibles from my town. I found some that I wanted to bid on so I registered and made my bid. What happens if I win? Will I get an email notification telling me who to send the check to? (I don't know how to use paypal and don't really want to) Can someone please give me a brief tutorial on using eBay?
Thanks!

Our home was damaged from a tornado. The contractors (obtained by ins.co. referal) negligence caused more damage to our home, then walked off the job after we complained about it. Ins. adjuster said " tuff luck", and the contractors are sueing us. We have hired a lawyer. Is it typical for the lawyer to play his hand close to the vest, even with us (his clients)? We have a court date in just two weeks and our lawyer has not gone over any of the facts of the case with us (other than our initial consultation). A friend told me this is the way lawyers work. I hope thats true, other wise we will probaly lose our home. Funny........ Mother Nature tried to take our home, but it is the people we have paid our hard earned $ to protect or help us who could be the actual cause of us losing our home.

I went to my dentist to have two fillings done, he numbed my mouth and started working. After the drilling was done, he told me to wrinse and when I did I could feel pain in my cheek and it was pretty bad. My dentist had hit my cheek with the drill going and cut a whole it it the size of a pencil eraser and never told me. Later that night the cut started to swell pretty bad and then my cheek started filling up with air! The cut is pretty close to the nerve, about 1mm above it and I was worried so I called the hospital. They told me they couldnt do anything and to cover it and just sleep and it would heal. Well it did, but the wound closed up with air still in my cheek. So now it looks like I have a golf ball in my mouth all day long and I have a purple bruise on my cheek the size of a ½ dollar. I can barely open my mouth and it is very painful. I am worried of an infection or someting else going wrong and I am not sure if I can or should sue my dentist? Any advice?
