Most every great civilization throughout history was built by slaves. Look at ancient cultures like the mayans or egyptians or the romans. I mean they built these incredible structures and world wonders on the backs of slaves. On a deeper level mankind has this master slave mindset anyway. Somewhat as if we're between being our own masters and the slaves of another. If you look at religious doctrine of judaism or christianity they talk a great deal about service of your lord and master, and seeking not of knowledge but that which god gives you. Though we now struggle with free will and how much we should have, look at all the problems society has with free will.

You can point out that slavery is part of World Culture, as many nations practiced it.

The Egyptians, the Greeks, even the Africans would enslave their conquered foes, not only to make them doing their bidding, but as a warning to others that this very same fate could befall you, should you decide to attack.

(There's a start; the rest is up to you)
