I recently ended a relationship with a guy I dated for a few months after I walked in on him in bed with another girl. Not surprisingly, I recently discovered that he has video tapes hidden all over his room to record girls having sex with him. There are 5 girls, atleast, that have been video taped, including myself. NOT one of these girls knows about this or has consented to it. He has not sold nor posted these for viewing online, but has, however, showed them to multiple people, one of which will testify to this. Again, none of the girls have consented to this and there are more than likely a handful more tapes with other girls, who also have not consented. At this time, no minors are known to be on these tapes. However, he is blantently screaming deceit in these videos, as he flicks the girls off (gives the finger) behind their backs and laughs and smiles at the video camera. I am totally disturbed and would like to press charges. Is this illegal in the state of PA?

I consentually had sex with him, as did the other girls, but not to be video taped. It's not even for his own personal use, he shows them to others, is this still legal?

There is a way to get a copy of the tapes. Is there any way to get him in trouble?

Hello Emily,

I think that as long as the other women that were involved with the guy you formerly dated, are not minors and are were aged 21 and older and all had consensual sexual intercourse, then he possibly did not committed any crimes.

Perhaps, if possible, try to produce solid evidence to the law enforcement officers that you were video taped without your consent.

Please, also, try to convince the lady that is willing to be a witness, to accompany you to the police station when you file legal charges against the guy. That witness will be a crucial help to build your case as long as she is willing to testify against the guy.

Good Luck.

SPeak with a criminal lawyer then call the police. He obviously committed a crime, its just a matter of whether you can prove a felony or misdemeanor. Inform the women that you know, and have them either file their own cases, or go in as a group. After all the criminal BS, check out the possibility of a civil case, to recoup for any damages....(any good atorney will advise you the same).

It depends - did he record sound as well? Unfortunately, in most states video taping is permitted, because laws were never enacted to cover that. However, federal laws prohibit sound recording without your knowledge. Check with the police department in your state to see what action you may be able to take.

I believe he has committed a Crime- but you must prove the existance of the Tapes to law enforcment- if you have a copy, take it to the law.

Illegal in all states.]
You should try to see if you can get intouch with the girl
and ask your district atterney if you can press charges
That shuld teach him a lesson
also can you get your hand on the tapes the one that you are on
(DON'T TOUCH THE OTHERS BECAUSE THAN HE CAN CHARGE YOU WITH STEALING )

IF HE IS IN HIS OWN HOME IT IS LEGAL AS LONG AS THE SEX WAS CONSENSUAL! WERE YOU TELLING HIM NO? YOU ARE INTITLED TO DO WHAT YOU WANTIN YOUR OWN HOME.OR YOU WOULDN'T BE ALLOWED TO HAVE A HOME SECURITY CAMERA. ALTHOUGH SICK HE HASN'T BROKE THE LAW!
