I am at a point where I believe that anybody who has the need to follow their Muslim religion or wear such clothing items should go and live in a Muslim country. It has been predicted and I agree that it is just a matter of time until we will see these crazy suicide bombers here in the western world.
To answer your question furthermore, NO I would not want my child to be taught by a woman in a burkha or Vail...for the same reason i don't want my child in a Catholic school. I don't want my children to be brain washed by ANY religious group.

I liken your question to the same as 'If anyone walked into a class and the teacher sat there with a full face ski mask on would you let them teach your child' Most would answer no that its unacceptable. I feel that its the same with the veil. If a teacher is teaching children in a multi religion school - children who do not wear veils and the like then the teacher should have the decency to uncover their face. Its not only about terrorism its about common courtesy also. Not only that, children learn alot from peoples expressions - which trhey cant see through a veil.

what a bizarre argument!!?! -
''What if the woman in a veil becomes a suicide bomber and blow up a school and all staff and children?''
why? what if the non-veiled woman does? what about all the school shootings in America and also UK - how many veiled women teachers carried them out...let me see... maybe you can tell me with that big brain of yours...
dont you think that perhaps the media hype is part of the problem here - the veil has been around for decades - these women have been working in schools for years, and all of a sudden its now a problem.
there have sadly been deaths of innocent children in our schools and u know that - and u know that none were commited by muslims, let alone muslim women. so grow up.
might be an idea for you to think about Israels tactics on violence, unless you have missed the news and think they are pacifists. selective attention maybe?

Well, there are a lot of good reasons for banning the veil, both practical an cultural; it is contrary to our culture of face to face communication and it inhibits learning, but I do not think that this is one of them. Whilst I agree it is more likely that a Muslim is likely to be a suicide bomber; Muslim's have a history of aggression, both in historical times, by being the initiators of terrorism between Israel and its neighbours, supporting that butcher of his own people Idi Amin in Uganda, and in recent terrorist outbreaks, surely it is more likely that a Muslim wishing to be a suicide bomber would dress in a manner that didn't signify her or his Muslim status.

I can see both sides of the arguement, but I think that wearing a veil over your face is a bit much to expect when teaching children or in a similar position of trust.
It's a bit sexist also, I mean how would you all feel if it was men not women asking to cover their faces?

come on PEA brain.this is a public forum.if you wish to get diverse answers you come here.if you don't,just go to hell.here is my opinion anyway.the burkha has no religious significance.Anyone who enjoys the freedoms an open society offers must also live according to the norms of that society.veils and burkhas are separatist and inward looking and must not be allowed in the class room

Okay, so what you are overlooking is that many of these folks are smart enought to not want to bring attention to themselves...
I would tend to think that a woman outside of the middle east IN the veil is safer than one who USED to wear it and now isn't ... that would be much more suspicious to me.
Banning an article of clothing isn't the issue - it's the trained hatred and disregard for human life (Including their own) that is a problem. Intolerance cannot be fought with more intolerance. But we have to figure out how to bring awareness to this culture that HATES us. I don't know how.

When was the last time that someone in a veil or burkha attacked an American school? I thought it was Americans doing the attacking, ALWAYS American?
But, yes- veils need to be banned from our schools. Period. The same way that gang colors are banned.

Do you really believe that every muslim is going to blow up something.....Look at all the school shootings in the US latly...most of the by white males.....does that mean we are going to start tell white men they can't be teachers....NO....Look, why are people so intent on labeling every muslim a terriost....that is like saying that the KKK is made up of white people so all white people must be racist. It does not work that way. Are you that afraid of someone of a different culture you don't want them teaching you kids math....
