If the car still officially belongs to the finance company, does the person making the payments get any money if the car disappears, or is it just payed off. And please don't mention anything about ethics or breaking the law, because selling a f#$ing lemon to customers should be unethical and against the law. It's really unfair to set people up with garbage cars.

I work in the retail field. This morning I was asked to produce a receipt for the shirt I was wearing in front of two other managers. Even though the district manager never said I stole the shirt. She implied that I did. Would this be consider a defamation of character and grounds for a suit?

The notice states that if I pay up in 14 days then I only have to pay £50. Should I appeal within the 14 day period, the fine is frozen at £50. However, the notice categorically states that if I want to appeal, I cannot do so until after the 28 day enforcement notice is issued (at which point the fine goes up to £100). The notice also says that I can appeal against their decision, but if they consider it "frivolous, vexatious, or wholly unreasonable" the court can also make me pay costs. This all feels like bribery to make me pay immediately and then coersion to stop me appealing again. What can I do about this? I REALLY I object to paying £100!

I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on gays and religion...in the bible it says "If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have commited an abomination. They should surely be put to death. Their blood shall be apon them." Shouldn't god love all his children? Why did he create gay people if they are such a sin? I believe being gay is about love and why should someone be sent to hell for loving someone else? I also read something about the "original form of the bible" and how that there is nothing about homosexuality being a sin in it...does anyone know anything about that? -Thank you for your help

What is the problem with accepting the term marriage outside of the religious context. I am not a christian, and therefore did not get married in a religious ceremony, yet I am legally married to my wife. Why is it fair that two people who love each other can't get married because somone else's religion forbids it?

Does our justice system truly seek out justice, the truth, blindly appying our laws to all equally? If so how does it attain these ideals? Or, is our justice system currently bankrupt and if so how has is broken and at what point is that breakdown most significant? Is it justice for an individual to go bankrupt defending against charges s/he is not guilty of, and should the government be required to re-emburse those who are vindicated? How would this positively and negitively affect our legal system and society?

Question 1: Is it illegal for business merchant not accepting a ripped dollar bill (half part of the dollar bill is missing)?

Question 2: Is it illegal to charge customers addition fee if they use credit card and didn't meet the seller purchasing requirement? For instance: a seller charges a customer, who use a credit card to purchase his/her item, addition 50 cents because the seller's credit card acceptance policy stated that purchase under $10 will be charged addition fee of 50 cents. Is that illegal or legal?

If white people can't say it then why should they? If we called anyone that then we'd probably be locked up here in the UK! They can say it whenever they want. Just because they call themselves black they think they can use this word and get away with it. It could still be offensive and one black person could be only quarter right. Where's the fairness in that?

My friend bought a used truck on Saturday from a dealer. It was in fair condition, but he noticed (in front of the salesman) a small shaking in the wheel when he got over 45 mph. The salesman said probably needed an alignment. While he was signing the papers for the loan, the salesman backed the truck up to the dealership, fell out of the truck and ran the truck over the curb and into a brick wall. No great dammage. Sunday (the very next day) he and his 15 yr. old son were on the road when the rear drivers side tire lost the tred. (it was a retredded tire and not legal for a pick up) The truck skidded in front of a semi and was crushed on passinger side and totaled. Everyone was okay but my friend now has no vehicle, his trade in gone, his down payment gone, and doesn't know what to do. I told him that either the tire company, the car company, the dealership, someone should be held accountable. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS ? and who can I contact ?

The owner of a property below our house on a valley side is to erect a fence on ground llevel with our house. This fence will be 5 - 6 ft high and borders a footpath belonging to us and our neighbours. The fence will be approximately 8 metres from our back door. The land it is to be erected on has been unused and is growing rough for the past 9 yrs plus. The fence will significantly reduce our view of the valley and detract from any future sale of the property.
Have we any rights to have the height of the fence reduced?
Or any other rights regarding this erection?
