The Bible says that working on sunday is a sin punished by stoning, and the same for cutting your hair. Why don't they picket Wal-Mart? Also, according to god, if a man attacks a pregnant woman and the mother dies, then its murder, but if only the fetus dies, its not murder.......I guess God is down with abortion, but not with Wal-Mart......anyone else VERY confused?

I was (am) working for "Landmark Staffing" as a contracted employee but my contract with their client ended. I don't want to accept a position under what I was getting before the client left Landmark. Do I have to under Wisconsin law or can I refuse any positions under what I was making while still employeed?

Example: I am a senior customer service representative and was paid $12 an hour but the client ended the contract as I was no longer needed. Landmark just offered me a "opportunity" to work somewhere for $9.00 and hour and it is doing data entry. Do I have to accept this or can I ask them to continue to look for something in my niche and at the same rate or better than what I was working. If I refuse the "opportunity" will I lose my unemployment benefits while looking for a new job?

I mean ... it takes longer than a week to get a new job ... I don't want to settle for a $9.00 job when I can do better. You know what I mean?

I am curious actually. How many of you in the States, Canada or the UK, especially those in business, are under the harressment of organised crime? How many of you know of people who are victims of them?

What did these organised crime forced you to do? Pay protection money, peddle drugs, forced prostitution?

How safe is a person from organised crime like the mob? I mean crime, not legal business, run by the mob.

What can you do to get rid of them? Are the Febs effective in helping an individual fight off these people?

OK before everyone says this question was stupid, there have been some stupid lawsuits over stupid things. Example do you remember the thing with the pepsi points? Well pepsi had a commercial that made a joke if you got 100,000,000 pepsi points or so you could trade them in for a jet...some kid actually collected ALL those pepsi points and pepsi would not give him a jet so he sued pepsi for a few million dollars or so...

Anyway the question is, anyone ever see Tag commercials, well obviously (and yes I tried it), the commercials are always if you use the product beautiful women try and tackle you...could someone sue Tag because of its "failure" to work?

My friend borrowed my motorcyle and we had a verbal agreement that if anything happened while in his possession he'd be held responsible. The motorcycle doesn't have insurance b/c its not required. He got a ticket for the accident for reckless driving. Now I'm getting sent a bill for the car he hit and have my motorcycle estimate, that he stated before borrowing if anything happened he'd take responsibility, and of course now he says he's not paying. If I sue him based on the above information is it likely that the judge will make him pay for all the damages? I really need guidance on this please and thanks!

Why is marijuana a gateway drug? Is it because it opens people up to breaking the law? If so would it be a gateway drug if it were legal? How about underaged drinking/smoking, are they similar gateways, or are they not because they later become legal?

Is it because it opens people up to using other drugs, legal or not, and they seek another high?

Is it sort of a broken barrier drug, the drug people who use drugs start with, that if you can avoid, they probably won't take drugs?

Or is it not a gateway drug at all?

I am writing a paper for my business law class where I had to attend a local court session. I have great notes, but I want to mention the man who checked my purse and scanned me with the metal decector wand before you can enter the courtroom. He was not a police officer, actually he was a retired probation officer. Does anyone know the proper name for his position?

What would you do if you were at a special event and a ‘fan’ approached asking you for 30 autographed photos for him and his teammates (also big ‘fans’) and you obliged, but a few days later found them for sale on eBay?

If the autographer shuns the reverence of celebrities and is set against the sale of their autograph, would such unauthorized eBay auction be illegal or could it be forcibly removed?

What a shiesty little man…his ‘teammates’ were really little kids he supposedly coached.

DAILY NEWS WASHINGTON BUREAU

WASHINGTON - There is so much political corruption on Capitol Hill that the FBI has had to triple the number of squads investigating lobbyists, lawmakers and influence peddlers, the Daily News has learned.
For decades, only one squad in Washington handled corruption cases because the crimes were seen as local offenses handled by FBI field offices in lawmakers' home districts.

But in recent years, the Jack Abramoff lobbying scandal and other abuses of power and privilege have prompted the FBI to assign 37 agents full-time to three new squads in an office near Capitol Hill.

FBI Assistant Director Chip Burrus told The News yesterday that he wants to detail even more agents to the Washington field office for a fourth corruption squad because so much wrongdoing is being uncovered.
