What would you do if you were at a special event and a ‘fan’ approached asking you for 30 autographed photos for him and his teammates (also big ‘fans’) and you obliged, but a few days later found them for sale on eBay?

If the autographer shuns the reverence of celebrities and is set against the sale of their autograph, would such unauthorized eBay auction be illegal or could it be forcibly removed?

What a shiesty little man…his ‘teammates’ were really little kids he supposedly coached.

No it's not illegal. The 'fan' and his 'teammates' approached and ASKED for the autographs, and were freely GIVEN them. He didn't steal or borrow them, so no crime was commited. What he chooses to do with them now is entirely up to him.

I guess maybe you're a little angry that you were lied to - but that does happen in the world of celebrity. Autograph hunting is rife out there - because there is a market. The fans and collectors like to buy them. Simple as that. :-)

As sheisty as the man may be, it's definitely not illegal. The only way you could get the auction taken down was if you could prove the signatures were fakes and not your own. Now... if you wanted to fight sheistiness with sheistiness, you could contact eBay saying you never signed those items and they were counterfeits and the auction would be cancelled...

possession in 9/10 of the law....if you signed something and gave it away legally it's theirs to do what they want with it
