My brother bought a 3,000 dollar boat trailer on his credit card for me because I could not qualify for financing. I made weekly paymets to his credit card from my checking account. online transfer right to his credit card account
I paid off his credit card in full.
He held title till I paid it off.
Now I try to call him for my title he wont answer phone, wont return my calls. To make things worse he now lives in different state.
Can I sue him in small claims court?
He was living in Florida at the time we made deal
which is where I live. But now he live in Maine.
So which state I file against him?

I feel I have no other choice. I cant sell trailer or register it. I need paperwork to have it covered on insurance.
Any help please.............

I'm in college now, and it seems like a doghouse out there. See I go to a community college, and I have been in college for a while since I have been going part time. I am seeing a change in college education. I used to believe that if government gave grants ($you don’t have to pay back) to people who could not afford college then more people would be educated and have more knowledgeable. I feel that i'm wrong now. See when I went to college they were playing loud music and I could not understand the words cause it was in Spanish. People were all over the place yelling and carrying on and dancing to this ethnic music. I thought college was supposed to be for learning and studying, not all this crap. I also think that college may be easier now because it has to be to pass these people and to get more money from the government. Am I right about this? Is our federal government ruining college education? If the government stays out of college education, would it benefit hard working people?

I've been working for a communication company for a year now. I'm supposed to work 8hrs a day. With the work load I have it takes from 15 to 20 hours to get it done. Everyone I work with tells me a do a heck of job, specially when handling so much with less resources; but upper management things I'm doing horribly they don’t even look at what I do. I admit I'm not perfect at what I do and I mess up time to time. However I can clearly prove I have been doing my job and they keep putting more and more too point I can't handle it. I know most would say just leave and find another job. I refuse to accept that, if they fire me I want compensation for the troubles they will cause me. Can I take them to court if I can prove I been doing my job and doing it correctly?

If he stays at our place and goes out at night without our knowledge (we're sleeping) and gets hurt or does something illegal, would I, myself, as the girlfriend be held legally liable? Please, help - this is a major problem with my boyfriend and I - and his son is coming to stay this weekend. He's 14 and already has been getting into minor, but still, trouble.

I have heard people say they have too much conscience and it is becoming a burden because it jeopardises their chance of succeeding at the work place or generally in life. Do you agree?

I was looking into buying a home from a close friend when she confided in me the fact that she owes 5,000 in property taxes! How long would the city give her until they threaten to take over her property?!

Me and my girlfriend, we where hugging and kissing, and then suddenly she just kneed me in the crotch!!!. She just stood there laughing while I was on the floor. Then when I finally got up, still in shock, she started saying how sorry she was, but still giggling, and I could swear she got sexually aroused by what she did. I just left without saying a word.
How could she done that to me, after all we went through together. I had no idea she could be a sex offender. And now she is constantly sending me messages to my mobile phone saying she is sorry, but I don’t think she is, and even if she was, nothing could be the same again. How about if I rape her and then say I am sorry, some things just have no turning back.
What do you think I should do?

I just found out my deceesed brother left a 'statement of his wishes' for his estate leaving very little to me but a property to an ex girlfriend. He was single no children, our parents are dead and there is just me and three other siblings and I feel it is just us four who should benefit from the estate. Apparently there are no witness signitures on the document which he wrote himself. Does this make it invalid. Do you think I have a good case? Any advice please is very welcome.

I live on the end house of a block of 4 houses. The are a set of 4 driveways and garages separate to the houses. At the end of the driveways is a turning circle. You can only fit 1 car on each drive. One of the 4 houses is rented, and there are 2 people living there, each with their own car. They keep parking the second car in the turning circle meaning I can't always get on or off my own driveway without having to go round to get them to move their car. Sometimes this is late at night or early in the morning and they are very moody about it, even though it is their fault for parking there. Do I have any rights to be able to have full unobstructed access to my own driveway?
Here is a basic diagram to try and explain layout. H=1House, D= 1Drive, X-1 car parked in turning circle, T= turning circle. R=Road

TXX D-My Drive

The X's are cars parking in front of their own house, but it is a turning circle (not their drive) and blocking me in

Basically, if you receive the same non-contractual benefit year after year, such as extra holiday days or profit related bonuses etc, do they become contractual at some point, as you are led (year on year) to expect this benefit?

As far as I can tell, their business model relies on crawling the entire Internet, then downloading it to their servers and presenting that content within their websites, then linking to these sites.

So my question is: How is this legal? Some sites explicitly forbid crawling in their TOS.

Is it just that no one has sued yet?

I recently recieved a notice from the NBC Universal regarding my downloading of the movie, 8 Mile. I own a copy of the movie but it has become too damaged (too many scratches) to continue use.

According to the Fair Use provision, I am able to make 1 backup copy of the dvd. My (mistaken) impression was that I would be able to download a copy of the movie and use it as my backup.

My question, if you missed it above, is "does downloading a copy of your own dvd fall under Fair use?"

Note: The downloaded copy was already removed and I've already complied with NBC's requests. Also sorry if this is miscategorized, I couldn't tell if it should go here or under Entertainment & Music - Movies.
