I live on the end house of a block of 4 houses. The are a set of 4 driveways and garages separate to the houses. At the end of the driveways is a turning circle. You can only fit 1 car on each drive. One of the 4 houses is rented, and there are 2 people living there, each with their own car. They keep parking the second car in the turning circle meaning I can't always get on or off my own driveway without having to go round to get them to move their car. Sometimes this is late at night or early in the morning and they are very moody about it, even though it is their fault for parking there. Do I have any rights to be able to have full unobstructed access to my own driveway?
Here is a basic diagram to try and explain layout. H=1House, D= 1Drive, X-1 car parked in turning circle, T= turning circle. R=Road

The X's are cars parking in front of their own house, but it is a turning circle (not their drive) and blocking me in

going through same thing myself. look on the deed or land regestry documents you got when buying your house. on it it will state that the driveway is for access only not to be blocked take this to show your neighbours but if it fails to make them see sense you park behind their car, block them in and see how pissed off they feel having to ask you to move your car. good luck.

You could call the police though they have no power of towing the vehicles away they can only give £30 tickets, bit aof a bummer for them, but they'll probably carry on parking there to wind you up further. Try talking to them when they are in a good mood and explaining that you don't like waking them up as much as they don't like you doing it and the simple way is to stop parking there. You could always lobby your council to put down double yellows and get the traffic wardens to patrol. Or contact their landlord. He should be able to talk sense into them or they could lose their tenancy. The Landlord does have responsibilities under Law to prevent these sorts of disputes.

you said the house is rented so do you know their landlord/lady to have a word with him/her about the parking situation, if not and you are at the end of your teather i would have a word with the council to see what rights you and everyone else has. could a emergency vehicle manage to get down there and back out safely, i ask this because im sure theres some law about not obstructing the road for them.
if nothing works, suggest they park their car further down the street as they have 2 or they may get fed up with you knocking to ask them to move and get the hint.

save looking!! There are sooo many residences on the marketplace maximum suitable now, you will hit upon an even bigger living house in a nicer section! yet once you absolutley ought to compliment between those 2 residences, take the smaller one in the nicer section. constantly evaluate re-sale whilst procuring a house - the "nicer" house is basically mounted up that way with the intention to entice a consumer. yet once you pass to sell, what if the community is WORSE? And confident, you should evaluate the dimensions of that house because of the fact which you opt to hold a splash one living house... think of of all of the toys and stuff... Take a while - this is a great selection and additionally a great time to purchase!

having had a similar problem in the past the police told me the car owner could be charged with obstructing the highway. which would result in a £20 fine! but you have to ask yourself is it worth the hassle or the bad feeling it could cause!? just remember you have the right to gain acess to your parking space and keep smiling! they really don't like that! good luck.

option three scrape the car each day and break off their wing mirror on the road and keep disturbing them at the most worst times each day.

option two i would never agree using violence, but set their car on fire slash the tyres and send them death threats.

option one go around with a bottle of wine and tell them that there has been damage to your car and they should be careful parking on the road. while you are talking to them get a friend to slash their tyres.

I think the best person to help you is the owner of the house. Explain to him what the problem is and ask him if he could talk to his tenants. This will be easier than if you have to confront them.

I would call the owner of the renters house. maybe they will be able to talk to them and work out something that suits the both of you. O ther wise try your local legal aide. They should be able to tell you of any specific rights you have.

call the owner of the house and explain the situation to him. it is his tenant and his responsibility to the neighborhood. if he is no solution, then just keep waking that guy up.. he will get tired of it and park somewhere else.
