Only 1% of imported food is checked, yet some people are saying terrorist are going to attack us from the border. If terrorists wanted to strike us good, they would poison our food or put bombs in our childrens toys, seeing as so many defective toys get by quality control. The only reason people rant against "illegal" immigrants is because they have nothing to do and are themselves probably living off welfare.

What happens to someone with a green card more than three years ago? Is he/she able to renew it, or will there be big problems?

Since Sept. 11th, foreign travel to the U.S. is still down. I'm curious what your experiences have been--rude officers or friendly ones? I've seen and experienced the best of both worlds. I'm also interested in the opinions of Americans returning home.

isn't more like "the jobs employers are unwilling to pay minimum wage for". we still have a problem with unemployment, and anyone who's ever lived poverty knows that they'd do anything for money, including pick fruits.

if amnesty is given to the illegals, it wouldn't help them anyway -- if the companies had to pay them minimum wage they'd instead hire someone who can speak english.

your thoughts?

Her "anchor baby" couldn't keep her here forever. I know it's just one of millions, but at least it gives me hope that our government isn't a total joke. Hey, it's only one, but it's a start.

Honestly, how many of us have gone into Mexico and have been robbed by local police?? I can't own property, if I stay to long they will forcably kick me out of the country. If I do become a Mexican National I can never become a Judge or hold any kind of offical office. So why do we bend over backwards for such a crappy trade off??

I remember reading in the WSJ years ago that 30-40% of Mexicans, Central and South Americans believe in the teachings of Marx (another fine secular Jew). Are we importing a "revolution" to a future socialist society (USA)? I went to Amazon.com and found several books on this topic!!! THIS GETTING SCARY !!!

illegal immigration= Marxist revolution?

I love it here and don't understand why so many people think its a s**t hole. I don't like it up by the border, pretty much waste land, and I'm not fond of the tourist areas. The interior is varied and wonderful, the people are nice, and contrary to popular belief, the police have never bothered me, in fact I have a friend in the state police who's a heck of a nice guy. My neighbor across the street is a city cop.

Don't you think it is very unusual that none of the major presidential candidates reflect the people's opinions on illegal immigration, for either party. I think Tom Tancredo is the only one to have the majority view, and he isn't a serious contender. Do you think this is some conspiracy to shove something down our throats by limiting our free choice?

About the United States war on Afghanistan, war on Iraq, and war on terrorism? Why did we go to these places? why are we there? where do we go next? what should happen next?

Are we there to help the people? Are we there for our own special interest? are we there to fight a never ending war on people who want to attack the U.S.? Are we there for retaliation? Are we there to get money for defense? Are we there to change their culture and government? Are we there to slow down their population? Are we there to have a better chance in turning Israel into a state of the U.S.?

Are the people that get the best intel by dressing and looking like people from the middle east Hispanic or Mexican?

We are all against illegal immigration, but is there some kind of medium that you would vote for.For instance, i dont agree with deporting someone who has been here for lets say 10 years, has 2 kids in school, works, and never has broken the law. These people should have to pay a fine, and go through the normal process to gain citizenship, no shortcuts. What is a good solution? How many years should be taken into consideration.?Facts are facts, these people are here, why ruin the lives of their children?Or should we just deport every illegal, no if and or butts?I dont think this will happen, we must quit bickering like racist idiots and come up with some kind of decent plan in which we all win.I live in the heart of this problem, so I want this solved, but also understand the difficulties..Lets not make this a "race" issue, its about our laws.Time to change the laws.
