It won't, there is no good side to a mass influx of uneducated people of any race.

There's some truth to that answer, but I believe no one can really know the exact extent of how illegal immigration can help or hurt. We have a general understanding that it can hurt because it takes job away... I've seen it, so there is some truth to it, but my experience can't speak for the entire U.S.

On the other hand, there seems to be (by others account) a lot of illegals working in the U.S. that pay a substantial amount of taxes (goods and services) and possibly will not be around to enjoy the benefits of those taxes paid in years to come. In the very worst case, at least employer that hire illegals and pay them cash, must pay taxes themselves (the employer) so.... What you gonna do? Damned if we do, damned if we don't. I say let it be, force border to do their job and insist that local and federal cops enforce immigration law also.

All will be better some day, we just have to vote for new blood.

You mean illegal immigrations are acting like scabs in the workplace. They work for low pay and no benefits which don't allow for American workers to complain or they will be fired and replaced by those bloodsucking scabs. Oh yeah, that's positive.

It will make the government wake up to the problem. Other than that, it does not help at all. We were doing fine or even better, before this all started (on the huge basis as today). So, to say anything on the order of "we need these people" is just stupid. There are plenty of LEGALS waiting to take their place.

Illegal immiration will NOT save the US; it will ruin it. This stupid line is a piece of twisted Bush propaganda that makes no sense and defies all rational logic.

Most of the illegals are all unskilled, uneducated vagabonds who will only suck at the public trough. We don't need a bunch of low-class ignorants not matter what their age.

Arguably, America needs immigration to 'restore balance' to it's 'aging population.' What that really means is that it needs /many/ mroe moderate-to-low income workers to pay payroll taxes to keep Social(ist) Security and Medicare solvent until the Babyboomers finally die. It also means that inefficient industries that can't handle foriegn competition need low-wage workers to exploit or they'll shut down (meaning more payroll tax revenue lost).

So, if you're a Democrat, and you don't want failed socialist programs to collapse, you need more young Americans working for comparatively low wages; and if you're a Republican, and you don't want failed industries to collapse, you need more cheap labor. Illegal Immigration (with Amnesty) can get you both.
