The Senate actually REJECTED an amendment proposed by John Cornyn that would not allow illegal alien gang members, drunk drivers, sex offenders, and other felons from becoming citizens!!!! THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!!!! Please call or email your Senator or Representative about this! Who would actually want this scum coming into the country?!?! The Senators who voted against this must all be on crack!!!

I believe we could solve the crisis if we immediately sent to Congress and past a Constitutional Amendment denying automatic citizenship to babies born of women in this country without documentation or legal right to be here. This is not what our founding fathers intended. And it is destroying the economic fabric of this nation. Believe me this scheme of the White house that the congress is passing, will destroy Social Security in less than 5 years. And that was the goal of the Bush Administration.

China has lots of unskilled impoverished laborers who use government healthcare and government funded education, etc. Why do they have such a fast growth rate?

US citizen marries illegal immigrant. File for TIN. Pay taxes and gets tax refunds. Contacting lawyers to file for legal status. Has two small children. Father is deported due to domestic violence.
A member of KKK, told mother, Legal US citizen, that her children where nothing. They needed to be deported.
The children where born in the US. The children are being raised as Americans. The children have US birth certificates and Social Security Cards.
What it the problem with this person? Why are they trying to take their beliefs out on two very small children and hurt their mother who cares for her two small children and loves them so much and who has the support of her family. These children have done nothing to anyone. What would you do in a situation like this?

What makes you think that the government will enforce any new immigration laws, since thet havent enforced the existing laws for decades?
The legislators are responsible for the immigration problems, they created it , all they are interested in is getting re elected.
Also do you think there should be term limits?

We could take care of two problems at once.

If illegal immigrants want to be American's so bad, let them see first hand how this country has given the World democracy and how hard he have fought for our freedoms. Let them earn citizenship by fighting along side of us. Let them shed their blood for something they believe in.

This would also cancel any planned drafts.

Troops could come home and see their families and babies and give them some needed rest in thier rotations.

The current cost of the war in Iraq is $432,265,000,000 and counting since March 20th, 2003 when the invasion began. For the mathematically challenged thats over 100 Billion dollars a year not to mention the lives of over 3000 American soldiers.

Many of you Y/A posters are on here vehemently challenging and complaining about how much illegals are costing us yet you give the pass to the war which cost 5 to 10 times more. I don't know about you but if the wind blew a dollar out of my hand in one direction and a dime fell and rolled the other direction, I would go after the dollar first.

IMO most of you pro-war, anti-immigration types are chasing the dime. Your thoughts?

bush is trying to bring 700 thousand irak people to your country. With war in irak we dont know who the enemy is so if bush brings irak people to your country who knows he might bring the enemy HOME. I think he is using illegal immigration to distract you people from war and of course we are taking advantage of it but illegals can come handy later on to protect your country. If you asked me my brother is in irak fithing for your country and i think is not his job is an american job.
