I find it amusing that it would cost too much to send them back, but apparently it doesn't cost us anything to give a majority of them public assistance indefinately............CUT OFF PUBLIC ASSISTANCE to illegals!!!!!

No we are not going to be able to deport 24 million but is that a reason to then say oh well stay to all. We can't find every speeder, drug dealer, tax cheat, child abuser but we still need to be vigilant and track them down.
The last time we had this amnesty during the Reagan adm we were assured by both parties it would end the problem no it increased it then I think it was 5 million illegals we gave amnesty to. If we say yes this time the next one will be only 85 million need to be pardoned.
Some will leave on own when we step up prosecution, some we will catch and some will stay but be more careful.

Uh- its not that easy hon... How about all the costs to find them, arrest, process, deportation hearings, etc. etc. The bus ticket is probably the cheapest part.
Then of course, after several years of trying to do that, we'll realize we're treading water. For every x we send back, x++ are coming thru our porous borders.
Then, who will do all the jobs they're doing now-- its not just jobs "white people" don't want to do. Unemployment IS like 4.5%-- that's pretty close to full employment (economic speak that is).
I don't want them here anymore than you do but simply saying we're going to deport them all isn't a trivial nor feasible solution.

You won't get any donations from the people who are making money off of hiring illegals at substadard wages (which is also illegal). You also better make sure you have enough left over to pay for food which is going to cost about three times as much and the cost of a new house or anything else that is built by the construction industry, not to mention services domestic, in hotels, restuarants etc.

A bus ticket back to Mexico is pretty cheap. Illegal aliens get a free ride on the buses they have operating down here on the border. A company called Wachenhut leases them to homeland security. They are big airconditioned cruiseliners not like the old retired school buses that are used to carry our military around.

Deportation won't work without sealing off the southern border, fining the hell out of employers that give them work, and the landlords that rent to them.
My thought is this:
They walked in...let them walk out.
I'd kick in 500 bucks. That should pay for 10 or so to leave...but I want the bus back. :)

I do not think that mass deportation is the answer. But if we jailed both employers and the illegals, it would solve the problem over a period of time

We have law enforcement built into to our system already, why add fuel to the fire?
We need to make our laws enforceable.
Make it easy to identify an American citizen to employers, and then put those employers that still incest upon employing “Illegal Immigrants” in jail.
Within a year - “Illegal immigrants” will become a thing of the past.

Form a non profit organization so we could donate money for a bus ticket for illegal immigrants. That way we could have another itemized deduction ;)
