Immigration - December 2006

Remember back when there was a great influx of illegal immigrants (black slaves)? They were to do the jobs that normal americans would not do but this time for free. There was no complaining then except for the color of their skin. Today they come freely and work just as hard but ALMOST for free and you complain. Would you complain if the work was FREE?

And adopt their rules toward illegal immigrants?

• Pursuant to Article 33, "Foreigners may not in any way participate in the political affairs of the country." This ban applies, among other things, to participation in demonstrations and the expression of opinions in public about domestic politics like those much in evidence in Los Angeles, New York and elsewhere in recent days.

• Equal employment rights are denied to immigrants, even legal ones. Article 32: "Mexicans shall have priority over foreigners under equality of circumstances for all classes of concessions and for all employment, positions, or commissions of the Government in which the status of citizenship is not indispensable."

• Jobs for which Mexican citizenship is considered "indispensable" include, pursuant to Article 32, bans on foreigners, immigrants, and even naturalized citizens of Mexico serving as military officers, Mexican-flagged ship and airline crew, and chiefs of seaports and airports.

• Article 55 denies immigrants the right to become federal lawmakers. A Mexican congressman or senator must be "a Mexican citizen by birth." Article 91 further stipulates that immigrants may never aspire to become cabinet officers as they are required to be Mexican by birth. Article 95 says the same about Supreme Court justices.

As the middle class dissolves in America our leadership is trying to direct the problem at immigrants. The problem is not the workers in the fields. The problem is the politicians not working in Washington. If our leadership was doing their job the American people would not be fighting over non-skilled jobs with immigrants. The Republicans for the last 12 years have ignored education. Instead they put the tax payers money into Iraq's well being. They did not spend it on New Orleans they gave it to Haliburton.
The problem is not the immigrants. The problem is the people that are citizens of America have the same skills as a immigrant from a third world country without the desire to succeed.

Why would Bush be in favor of a law that will cost Americans so much? Are you in favor of amnesty or should illegals be made to go home?

Are you willing to give illegals free education, section eight housing, food stamps and WIC, free medical services? How much more will you do for them while they pour over our borders in droves before we send them back? Do you think a bus ride back would be too expensive? What say you?

People need a reason to feel good about themselves. Those of you who single out immigrants as your biggest problems are ignorant. If we are to compete with countries like China we are going to need more immigrants than we have now. The people that complain about immigrants would not complain if the immigrants came from the country they are from. It is because the immigrants look different that gets people all excited. This is the country that elected George Bush. This is a country with a large number of fools.

I understand how employers make it feasible for illegals to commit their crimes~ but we should put blame on both independently of each other for the different crimes committed~ would you blame a prostitute for being raped?~ I would arrest both!!!!

An October report by the Washington Post exposed illegal aliens sending $25 billion in cash back to Mexico annually. Another $25 billion transfers to Central and South America. An additional $16 billion U.S. dollars vanish into Asia annually.

Cash remittances sent back to immigrant countries bleed the United States into serious financial consequences. We suffer a $700 billion annual trade deficit from over 3.1 million jobs off-shored and out-sourced—compliments of your U.S. Congress with their wonderful H-1B, H-2B and L-1 visas giveaways.

As to cash draining out of the United States, illegals earned that money by working under the table to cheat the IRS. Every working American citizen must pay the difference. Employers paid money out, but didn’t record it, so they could hide their profits. That’s money illegals made taking jobs from America’s middle class workers.

I'm engaged to my boyfriend [now a fiance] and he lives in England. Don't ask. But anyway, when we got married I said I would live over in England because in my opinion, the U.S. isn't doing terribly well now are we? So, when I marry him, am I a UK citizen automatically or is there more to it?

No matter what word is precedes, the word illegal means just that, illegal! Why can't you illegals understand that?

So many things have been said here and there. Some are PRO-legal immigration, some are ANTI-immigration, some are just PRO-anything-that-comes and so on... I just want to understand one thing: WHY DO NATIONALS HATE IMMIGRANTS? Is there a real reason? I mean, a sociological or psycological reason (no freaks, MinuteMan or Human Rights, please) to this, sometimes, out-of-control hate, allowing people to justify violence and disrespect against other people with the only excuse of their origin, as if ALL American countries were developed from immigrants. To the "semi-KKK" people who love to comment in these questions with answers like "go back to your country", I'd like to say I AM IN MY COUNTRY, I am studying Geography and Immigration Issues and I'd like to remember the Pilgrims were also immigrants... so... you should also go back to "Caucasia", don't you think?

Those with real information (even links) can email me. Thank you!

During the United States Civil war many Irish were immigrating to the U.S. when they landed they were given a hot meal and their citizenship papers the men were also given another paper making them privates in the Army and were sent right away to fight for their new country.
Now don't you think the feces would impact with the rotating oscilator if that was tried with the Mexicans? As primarlly whites are in control of the government we would be accused of total racism. even though it was done to whites. The Scots and Irish immigrants had it far worse the the Mexicans, and they came in as indentured servants
or with their own money and following the rules for entry.

"Sen. Karen Johnson, R-Mesa, said she believes the Security and Prosperity Partnership, being run out of the White House and the U.S. Department of Commerce, is little more than a secret plan to end U.S. sovereignty by 2010. And she said Congress is being kept in the dark until the point that it becomes a done deal.

Johnson, who will head the Senate Education Committee this coming session, said the signs already are there, from an “inland port” in Kansas City and construction of a superhighway corridor through Texas to the lack of any real action in building a wall between the U.S. and Mexico.

“It’s all because it’s going to be open,” Johnson told Capitol Media Services. “It’s all going to be a ‘North American community,’ just like the European Union,” complete with the creation of a single currency just like the Euro. "

What do you think?

"A major Cincinnati company threatened with criminal sanctions by a key House Democrat if it terminates any of its 32,000 employees over the validity of their Social Security numbers says it hasn't fired anyone.
"All employers, including Cintas, have a legal obligation to ensure that all employees are legally authorized to work in the United States," said Mr. Wallner, whose company is the nation's largest uniform supplier. "Cintas has not and will not fire anyone simply because an individual has a mismatch problem with the Social Security Administration (SSA)."
Mr. Wallner said about 400 Cintas workers have received "no-match" letters from the SSA -- issued when a person's name and Social Security number on payroll records do not match. They have been given two months to correct the problem and then would be put on administrative leave until the matter is resolved."
