"Sen. Karen Johnson, R-Mesa, said she believes the Security and Prosperity Partnership, being run out of the White House and the U.S. Department of Commerce, is little more than a secret plan to end U.S. sovereignty by 2010. And she said Congress is being kept in the dark until the point that it becomes a done deal.

Johnson, who will head the Senate Education Committee this coming session, said the signs already are there, from an “inland port” in Kansas City and construction of a superhighway corridor through Texas to the lack of any real action in building a wall between the U.S. and Mexico.

“It’s all because it’s going to be open,” Johnson told Capitol Media Services. “It’s all going to be a ‘North American community,’ just like the European Union,” complete with the creation of a single currency just like the Euro. "

What do you think?

I've been saying exactly that since I first read about it about a year ago or so ... Bush has already signed the deal, together with the Canadian and Mexican prime ministers, in Waco in 2005 .. and since it's an AGREEMENT, apparently it can go through without "interference" by Congress ... Michael Chertoff and Condi Rice are on the board, and of course since Chertoff is also heading up Homeland Security, no prizes for correctly guessing why he comes up with all sorts of ludicrous "security measures", but doesn't want to really build the wall, which, as Johnson says, will in any case have to come down by 2010, when "free flow of goods, services and labor" between the 3 countries will come into effect.

I'm dead against this agreement, the way it's being sneaked in behind the American people's backs, as per usual ... and the way America is being sold piecemeal at the behest of the big corporations ... I mean, if there was a vote, or a referendum, on whether or not the American people would prefer to stay as the United States, or if the American people would prefer to be one part of a nebulous North American Union, do you think it would go through? No, I don't either ... which is exactly why there's no debate about it, people don't know about it, and as one respondent said, smacks of conspiracy theory ... don't I just wish that's all it was, rather than the very real nefarious plan it is ...

Conispary theory crap period, and insturcture improvments are needed if you want your eggs rolls for half the cost in 2012, or your taco shells cheaper. China is eating Mexicos lunch, and Americas dinner. SPP is just to streamline logistics of insturcture, and EU is not needed period. Maybe going back to per 1929 border control checkpoints would be ideal. We need free moverment of labor and goods not some 200,000,000 page agreement. If the job market drys up Mexicans go home, and Americans get laid off and both countries become cranky at thier polticans. Mexico and America economies are more intergrated than people realize, a economic crisies in Mexico will hurt America actually in 2006 unlike in the 1990s, and before. Lets work together, and break up personal monopolies onwed by American and Mexican billionares that prevent real competition. We need to stop talking and break up robber Barrons its been done in 1912 we can do it again make all prosperous. Stop giving technology transfer to China, and denying that knowhow to Mexico.
