Speaking on the immigration issue as an American. I came here in 1983 as a Palestinian student from Kuwait. I believe that both sides goal should be to limit immigration around the world. No one wants to leave his life is his homeland to start a new one some where else. I am here because I had no country to go to. I am a Palestinian who was born in Kuwait so after high school my student visa was expired. I believe we should improve the condition in their home country so he\she don’t have to leave home. Not all of us left for money.

my boyfriend wants to come and live with me here in uk he tried to get a student visa and that was denied. if we got married would there be a good chance he could stay here? and what sort of things do you have to go through to do this?
we love each other very much and it has been agreed if he really can't come here.I will have to try and go and live in his country. we are willing to do anything so we can stay together. please don't suggest breaking up because that isnt a option.

I know this has been said before,, but what buisness do they have making a lot of babies if they can't support them, It just throws any validity of that claim out of the window, and then many have more children when they are living here

don't say they can't afford birth control, they can get it for free at a clinic or wear a condom, so what is the deal

I am from the uk and my boyfriend is from cameroon. he was over here in uk on a visa. that visa ran out and he went home to get another visa so he could study over here. his apllication was refused. does anyone have any suggestions on what we could do. would he be able to apply for a working visa somewhere else in europe and would that be easier for him to get.. and because his appliation was refused does that mean he can't even come to uk for a short stay(1 week or 2)

we have been refused a b2 visa 3 times,mainly because we dont own a property in the u.k.,which seems unfair.are there any ways around this? as we have plenty of social ties to the u.k. and enough money to support us in the u.s. when we are there.
also does any one have any info about the so called relaxing of the immigration policy of the u.s. recently for u.k. citizens? or is it just hearsay.
we have been treated awfully the times we have been to the embassy!.

they say they are peaceful but they have problems intergrating with european culture...now many move to the US and they call us intolerant when they don't assimilate into europe...why did they leave their loving islamic countries in the first place?

I think the key question is:

"How do we maintain the benefits of immigration while eliminating the negative consequences of it"

immigrants provide inexpensive labor, start up companies and create jobs, and are consumers who buy goods and services.

In the mean time we have higher crime rates, elevated expenses for health care and prisons.

Here's my plan

My proposal in a nutshell
1. Be able to identify legal workers and citizens easily (with an identity card that is tied to data bases so that a forged card won't cut it)

2. Now employers can buy a $50 machine to verify if potential workers are legal or illegal.

3. Liberally give work permits to thousands of outstanding mexican citizens (without criminal records, etc).

4. Crack down on employers who don't verify work status. (e.g. $10,000 per employee)

5. Tax the workers to cover health care costs for this group of people.

6. Create refugee camps for those who then enter the country illegally.

America currently has record numbers of jobs outsourced.
We also have record numbers of illegal aliens living within our boarders.

So recently the labor statistics were released and reported that unemployment hasn't been lower since the early 70's.

I'm not saying that there are no ill effects of illegal imigration, but the data does not support this one.

So why do people keep saying the same thing and people believe it when it isn't true?

THERE IS A HUGE SIGN ON THE BORDERS THAT SAY " HELP WANTED". There are so many jobs available that its not funny. If you do not work its because you are lazy or dead. Even picking up cans can provide for a living. So to move this country forward we count on the strong backs of these laborers.

We are the majority, we have spanish speaking tv channels, radio and magazines. Our telephone service provide us with spanish options and our friends speak spanish. Most of the states are named in spanish. The U.S. national anthem was rewritten in spanish. Its best to keep spanish as our primary language and save ourselves from listening to english insults for which we ignore. Dios los bendigan a todos.
