THERE IS A HUGE SIGN ON THE BORDERS THAT SAY " HELP WANTED". There are so many jobs available that its not funny. If you do not work its because you are lazy or dead. Even picking up cans can provide for a living. So to move this country forward we count on the strong backs of these laborers.

The main complaint (but not the only one) about illegal immigrants is that "they break the law." So many people, including that unspeakably fat blowhard Lou Dobbs, display such a sense of outrage about "breaking the law."

Laws in the US are broken every day, by countless people in all walks of life - from rural rednecks to hip-hop gangsta wannabes to middle-class moms and pops to big-city business executives.

Yet there seems to be a particularly savage response to people of color who only want to make an honest buck to support their families and give them a leg up on a better life.

In a global economy immigration is inevitable. As such, political borders should be abolished, a country needs workers, you get them from wherever. they finish the work, they go somewhere else. Mexico is the 4th largest producer of oil, which "sells" to the USA but the proceeds of that "sale" go to pay loan interests only, therefore the sale of oil has no profits for Mexico. Thus. the Mexicans have to come to the U.S. to earn money and feed their families. Most Mexicans do NOT want to stay here, they want to earn some money and go back. And they DO pay taxes, or taxes are deducted from their paycheck, but employers do not report that tax to the IRS because that would be a paper trail of tax fraud by the employer. Society benefits from cheap labor more than any immigrant in this country or any western country.

I am very much against illegal immigration, but I can tell you why they come here.

Poverty in other countries is not like poverty here. Here, you can get welfare, or a job.

In Mexico, there are no jobs, and the jobs that are available do not pay hardly anything. Some things are cheap in Mexico...an apartment with a dirt floor is $100 per month, but phone bills and clothing are US prices. A job that makes $35,000 per year here, pays only about $3,000 there. Gas costs MORE there than it does here.

Hence...the low income, but relatively high cost of living. It is hard to find work there at all. There is no promise of more work, because the governments are corrupt. Even if they lived in a free country, the potential for enterprise just isn't there.

My husband is from Mexico. He is a US resident...came here legally.....however, he grew up in poverty. He left school at age 7 to go to work to support his 5 siblings and mother. Like many Mexicans, his father skipped out on his mom. His mom had a stroke early in life and couldn't work. Thus, the downward spiral begins. They forfeit education to better the family, then can never get a better job for lack of training.

They come here because staying in their country means certain death (if not of them, of a family member).

Of course, many come here just for the sake of coming here, but there is usually some degree of desperation in their lives.

Picking up cans in other countries doesn't make enough money to eat.

I don't want illegals in my country, but know first hand why they come. Let's find a way to send them back, but let's not be nasty about it. They do have souls too.

It can be for a lot of different things, the main reason will be for a better living to support their families, to get a better life, don't think that people come to this country because they really want to come , probably in their countries they don't have a way of living, and not even picking up cans,,, It's sad to leave behind your family and not be able to See them that much often , but what can we do,, it's either here or Europe or china, illegal immigrants can go everywhere people that are desperate for a change in their lives they will go anywhere, or where the opportunity take you, and most of this opportunities are here in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

They come here because it is easier than fixing the problems of their own country. They come because of the enticements of all the "freebies" they can get in the USA. They come because they know they can have "anchor babies" and get even more "freebies." The country does NOT need illegal immigrants in order to move forward. In fact, illegal immigrants are a huge drain on the American economy. The USA does NOT need illegal immigrants. The illegal immigrants are coming for their own benefit, not for the benefit of the USA. Everything that needs to be done in the USA would get done just fine without illegal immigrants. If illegal immigrants are so talented at moving a country "forward," why aren't they staying in their own countries and moving their own countries "forward?" Illegal immigrants tend to be the most uneducated, poor people of the countries they are coming from - so don't tell me how much they can help the countries they go to - they are a 'NET DRAIN' on any country they go to. People say these illegal immigrants are so "family oriented" and only come to the USA to feed their families back in their countries - if that is so, that they are so "family oriented," how do they benefit their wives and children by abandoning them? Don't you think those wives and children are doing worse without having the husbands and fathers in their homes? In fact, so often, I hear that these "family loving men" end up taking up with American women and soon stop sending money back home to support their families. I have heard that there are entire villages in Mexico and Central American that do not have any men between the ages of 16 and 50, except for those who are handicapped in some way. Does this signify "family oriented" people? Why don't those men stay in their countries and use all that energy to make things better for themselves and their families there?

Yeah yeah yeah yeah. Please take your 'workers' rhetoric, and move to Mexico, where they need the 'hard work'. The reason that Mexico's economically deficient compared to the United States is because they're literally bleeding people.

Putting in the border fence, and taking down that sign will be the best thing that ever happened to Mexico. Employer enforcement, border enforcement, immigration enforcement, these are what's needed to turn this entire mess around.

Mexico CAN stand on its' own two feet, and that'd happen more rapidly if people like you were actually trying to help.

This illgeal ailen topic is old. Here is the scope If they would like to better their lives and come here and work then we welcome that. However you must follow the laws. That means you can't Rape, Steal, Murder, Traffic Drugs, Tax Invasion, and Even Speed on the road system.

The problem is the numbers are showing that illegals do the most crime on the boarded states with Mexico. This what are problem is with illegal immigrates they seem to not follow the laws.

Once again you defend illegals.

Please look up the word illegal before defending criminals again.

They come here looking for a better life. Simple as that.

But that doesn't give them the right to break our laws.

Yes! Thank you for explaining that for those that do not understand. Same thing here in Australia. These people are trying to leave terrible war torn countries. Yet we constantly begrudge them a better life. We do not 'OWN' the Earth, people. How hard is it to share it. Greed will be the downfall of our civilizations, not so called illegal immigrants.

He is not defending illegals. He is trying to get out of the real reason illegals are here. Notice where he mentions the" backs of these laborers". He does not say his back.
