I know this has been said before,, but what buisness do they have making a lot of babies if they can't support them, It just throws any validity of that claim out of the window, and then many have more children when they are living here

don't say they can't afford birth control, they can get it for free at a clinic or wear a condom, so what is the deal

yeah i don't really understand but maybe in their country they had lots of kids ..and somehow brought them to america. but yeah if they're al;ready ''poor-ish'' or whatever when do these parents find the time to actually get their groove on?!?! im upper-middle and i onyl have one sibling.. they probably have like at least 3 kids - all young and probably about to take them to another country. idk. i hope i wasn't being like racist there but yeah hope i helped

I wish I could say it was only illegals having children they can't afford but that is not true.

American teenagers are giving birth ( when birth control is available via the school nurse) to children, having absolutely no means to support them. Women who are already unable to care for children in their household without government support still have more children they cannot afford. Birth control is available and is free through the local county health department in America- there is no excuse for an unplanned pregnancy anymore- except for apathy.

People all people, believe for whatever reason that a family ( no matter how small or how large) holds value/wealth.
Not the kind of value/wealth that you put in the bank but the kind that warms your heart.

I don't really know why people put themselves in such dire straights and strangle the promise of their children with abject poverty- when they were not financially stable enough to afford a child and birth control was available.

I wish I knew, but it is not a problem just found in an illegal alien population. If only it were that isolated.

Many people do this. They just have children without any thought as to how they will support for them. In my mind it is irresponsible and reckless of them. If you cannot afford to feed the kids you have why keep having children? As has been pointed out walk into any Planned Parenthood and you can take a box of condoms home or female contraceptives. These people are ignorant and foolish to have all of these children. My wife and I had a long discussion and we stopped at two. That is how many we can afford and love entirely. Now there are great people I know who have 4 or more kids who can both manage it and give the children the love they need. Sadly those people are rare and few.

Mostly more, a lot more. Why not have a lot more babies here where they have automatic citizenship by being born here. That way they don't have to worry about getting them papers and if they have enough of them here with us paying for them, they will get those bleeding hearts to want to let them stay too and be illegal anyway. Then if they have enough as they grow they can help out in the fields and make a lot more money. I know of many that had from 14 to 18 kids and everyone of them worked in the fields as soon as they were able to get more money to send to families back in Mexico to get them up here. Then the whole thing begins anew. All we would have to do is enforce the laws that are on the books instead of just looking the other way as our lawmakers are doing now wanting to legalize all those illegals that are here already. That will really work to get the problem stopped, reward them with citizenship for breaking our laws. Now isn't that just a peachy idea? Rewards for breaking our laws!!! Break or laws and get your citizenship!!

Latin American culture. Birth control for a woman is a sign that she is of loose morals. Condoms for a man is a sign that he is less than a real man. Unplanned pregnancies are celebrated as an answer to life's difficulties, like marriage problems, lack of direction, joblessness, failure to finish high school. I'm not exaggerating. Many people in Latin America think that a baby justifies and improves their lives, especially when it is unplanned. Women actively seek to get pregnant to "trap" a man into staying and to prove their womanhood. Men actively seek to get a woman pregnant to prove their manhood and also to burden the woman and keep her at home and out of the workplace or school. It is cultural, not likely to change.

A lot of babies in Mexico don't survive. You have 6 kids but maybe only 2 or 3 survive their first birthdays. Multiple births mean a continuation of the family line. Better health care here means bigger families but everyone works in a large family which also means more income for the family. It an economic thing.
