Yes~ I think the military should do a sweep house to house to flush out all illegal insurgents !!!!!~ and throw them back to their respective countries so we can get a better picture of who is here and where to focus are offense!

The problem with the military being on the border is the time factor. At what point can you tell them to go home? Do you want to become a militarized police state?

The other issue is the number of military personnel available. Right now, the military is completely tied up in Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea, Germany and other places. It is so backed up that the administration sent National Guard troops to also fight.

I have always advocated placing our active duty military along the borders. Its the only way to put an end to this invasion of illegal aliens. They must be free to enforce this nations laws to the fullest. Without fear of criminal prosecution such as the farce in El Paso where the two Border Patrol agents were convicted of doing their job.
The fence should be built the entire length of the border
not just a third of the way.I'm willing to help pay for it with higher taxes.Build the fence and DEMAND that our do -nothing government enforce our immigration laws

Shelley the National Guard are the majority in Iraq & Afganistan so don't say they have to also fight!!!
The National Guard is doing most of the job for the U.S. Now!

Now, every country has immigration laws and Mexico in 2004 sent its military to their southern border to deport and push south & central americans from Mexico!!!
So, Yes!!! Military should be on the border!!!

I think the Treaty of Guadalupe should be mutually reviewed, I think the border patrol should be augmented, I think the border fence should be built, I think employer enforcement should be continued, and people should be sent home if they're found to be in the country illegally. I don't think you need the military to do that.
Write your city council about it, express your support for better border and immigration enforcement, and if you're really serious about trying to help, and you think you could pass the physical test etc., then apply to sign up for the border patrol yourself. They're hiring!

The wall idea is stupid. You show me a 20 foot wall I will show you a guy with a 21 foot ladder.
We need to use technology. It would be cheaper and it would work better. For National Security reasons I can't tell you what it is. I can tell you it is being implemented as we speak.

Yes they should be on the border to emforce the United
States immigration laws.
They should also be given discretionary rights to shoot if warnings to stop are not followed.
There are battle hardened troops coming back, this would be a good place to put them, they fought for our freedoms over there, let them fight for our country over here.

Well, some would say that we should put up water stands along the way in case the illegals get thirsty along the way.

Is the military going to give rations or are they allowed to shoot?

One fully armed solider every 100 feet.

Is that good enough for you ?

I would not have a problem paying my share of taxes funding that dream >
