Why would Bush be in favor of a law that will cost Americans so much? Are you in favor of amnesty or should illegals be made to go home?

Not very many middle or low income Americans are in favor of any amnesty for any illegal alien. Most of those in favor of amnesty are filthy rich or uninformed.

The filthy rich elite stand to benefit at the expense of American citizens who don't work as cheap laborers and will not tolerate abuse and discrimination in the workplace. Mind you the rich and those who are helping illegals give them preferential treatment for the moment. Some have the audacity to call Americans they have taken advantage of racist and turn right around and discriminate against Americans and legal immigrants.

Needless to say, poor and middle class Americans are the ones being terrorized by illegal aliens and suffering the after affects of violent crimes. The rich have bodyguards and private police forces to protect them and their interests. Regular Americans, can't depend upon their own government to protect them. SHAME!

Americans of every race, creed and color need to come together and take America back town by town and city by city.

While it is philosophically wrong to offer amnesty to the illegals, do you actually think the government (of all things) is going to catch all of them? Even some of them? It's true, the illegals have knowingly broken the law, but can you blame them? The law here doesn't apply where they come from; and the benefits still far outweigh the costs.

Must go home. Otherwise, more will come in hopes of second, third and more amnesty.

Better to set foot in stone and make it clear. There are ways to ease the situation, Amnesty is definitely not easing the situation but making it worse.

Hate to say it but illegals broke laws knowingly. We must carry out the laws and send them back. Sorry.

Against it. Amnesty has been tried, and it doesn't work. All it managed to do was encourage more illegal immigration in hopes of being obsolved. We already have legal means of entering the country. It should be utilized. Rewarding breaking of the law is never the answer.

A general order of deportation should be given.Ordering all illegals to leave this nation.Give them 30 days to get their family's and themselves out of the country. After that time. identify, locate and begin systematic deportation of all illegal aliens. The ones that didn't leave voluntarily in the first order would never be allowed to apply legally.
The costs has been placed at between 200 and 230 billion for deportation. That would be recovered by the
savings to this nation in less than 5 years. It can be done and it must be considered.Amnesty is not going to happen, too many legal Americans are against it.
NO TO ANY AMNESTY UNDER ANY NAME

Neither. Amnesty and deportation would cost too much money. I do feel that we need Mexicans to do the jobs that no one else wants to do. I think the best resolve would be a compromise, where the Mexican Nationals are given work permits. With these permits, we should take out: Taxes AND hospitalization. They would also have to guarantee to speak English within a certain time frame. I also think that they should return to their homes every six months for two months to keep their Mexican citizenship.
If it becomes easier for Mexican Nationals to cross legally, then the ones that are intent upon breaking our laws will be the only ones crossing ILLEGALLY. To distinguish between the two would be a great aid for our border guards...it's very hard for them to shoot without knowing whom they are shooting at.
Remember also, that the fence will never be built...no money was allocated, and it would keep the people in, that everyone wants to deport.

Absolutely no amnesty!

The illegals in this country are not the kind any country needs. They have no intention enhancing anything in this country like immigrants from the past. They intend for Americans to accept their way of life or leave the continent. Does anyone else remember the signs illegals flashed at us and the things they said at their protests? Telling us to go back to Europe and this continent belongs to them?

They hate us. Schools in the Southwestern states are run for the most part by hispanics/LaRaza. They are forbiding books by white authors, they're teaching children Mexican history, not American history. Many white parents are home schooling their children.

Doesn't this give you warm fuzzies about these wonderful illegals?:
Professor Jose Angel Gutierrez, founder of La Raza, has proudly said: “We have an aging white America…. They are dying…. They are ******** in their pants with fear! I love it!” He then demands: “We have got to eliminate the gringo, and what I mean by that is if the worst comes to the worst, we have got to kill him.”

I want to scream every time I hear someone say they're here doing the jobs Americans are to lazy to do. That is an outright lie! They're here to bring our wages down, that's part of the NAFTA, SPP and some other nasty agreements our government has made with Mexico.

Several months ago Fox's administration being upset about us discussing securing our border said, Bush didn't understand Mexicans have to come to the US to make sure our wages go down. The bread winner in my home has a bachelors degree in accounting, worked at the same job for 35 years and had to take a 12 thousand a year cut in pay to keep the job, this has chocked us financially. An overnight decline in income with the same bills while necessities continue to go up, like gas, utilities, food, everything. So I don't want to hear illegals are here to do jobs we don't want to do.

I also have family who USED to be a painting contractor. No more, cause he hires legals which means his competitors who's employees are illegals charge less, therefore he couldn't stay in business.

Unfortunately, there will be an amnesty all in the name of global economy. Which means everyone works for less money to compete with China, India and Mexico. The day will come when we all have an income like Mexico, $10 dollars a day. But that's OK with them, they're like jealous siblings, they won't mind making 10 dollars a day if we are to. They just couldn't stand us having more than them. Bottomline, look for us to live in a society worse than communism. Thanks a bunch Bush and Mexico!

Our government can get rid of OTM (other than Mexicans) cause there are fewer of them. However, Bush has all but given Mexico the deed to the USA and has allowed at least half of Mexico to come here. Mexicans own and operate the Southwestern states, they've already annexed them with Mexico. When I read the Houston Cronicle that's mostly what their news is about, their country Mexico.

Mexico gets more money from their workers here than we do. And that's half the plan of Mexico. Instead of Mexico calling it taxes, they call it remittances. Our taxes support them and their taxes support the wealthy in Mexico. Yes, even though they send money home, first their wealthy government takes a cut of that, plus the money sent to their family allow the Mexican government to avoid any responsibilty in raising the standards of living for their people.

Why they give their gov so much credit is beyond me.The flow of wealth into Mexico from the US is over whelming and that's what Mexico was after. They're taking our wealth and our land and no one is stopping them. They're changing what's taught in our schools. They defy our laws. They've also infiltrated our government and are holding offices of power.

Once the amnesty takes place, the remainder of their poor, uneducated along with their rich and powerful will also be here. Everyone will be shocked when they find out how many Mexicans are actually here. Mexico will be reserved for the rich and famous to vacation in. America will be a poverty ridden garbage dump just like Mexico used to be.

Sure, why not? While we are at it lets give amnesty to the rapists....after all its not their fault they just have a mental condition. The murderers should also be set free, as they are just misunderstood.

These illegals are simply criminals, and should be treated as such, period.

I think the illegals here in the U.S. should be treated the way the Mexican Constitution treats illegals and immigrants there.
Make for interesting reading, google the Mexican Constitution and read that, see what their thoughts are on immigration.

I think the U.S. Attorney Alfonzo Gonzales should go back to Mexico immediately for assisting the Bush Administration and the Republican Congress in committing crimes against the American people and humanity.
