They used to really anger me. "What don't they understand about the word ILLEGAL" I used to think. It used to p me off so much that they mooch off our system and blah, blah, blah. But recently I've been reading some answers on this site about it and they have softened me. There lives must be pretty bad there in Mexico. They risk their lives and the lives of their children to sneak into our country with dreams of a better life. Sure they want free stuff but wouldn't I want all those things for my family, too, if I was in their shoes? What do you think about that? Wouldn't you, too?

If they are illegal and do not have a green card, how do they qualify for social welfare and other handouts? I would expect the government (both state and federal) to be a LOT more careful in their checks and proofs before accepting anyone with no legal papers.

All the Cuban has to do is just come on a boat, and do not get caught by the coast guard at sea and they get to stay.

I live in Florida and I see it all the time, the cuban fighting with the coast guard at sea to get into the U.S and if they touch land they can stay.

I dont understand why people come on here and try to sway people to accept the illegal immigration? So many of you on here love to bash on Americans for their views on immigration controls? just become an issue post 9/11? My take: the White House made it an issue to use as another distraction from the fact that the U.S. STILL hasn't captured Bin Laden. The War in Iraq was distraction No. 1. But the Saddam Hussein verdict will be announced tomorrow and the War itself is more unpopular than ever. Bush needed something new, so his ppl came up with more brown ppl to use as scapegoats for the real issue. Illegal immigration wasn't an issue until post 9/11, but the illegals in question (Mexicans) aren't the terrorists! The White House has AGAIN intentionally confused enemies of the U.S. and thrown them into one big mishmosh pot for Americans to hate, when the real enemy (Bin Laden et al) is still at large. Am I wrong? Other thoughts?

Immmigration is a huge topic. Why are many users obsesed with mexicans?
Mexicans were in the USA before any of you, and they are nt bragging about themselves and the laws involving Immigration or Emigration! Thousands of US Americans emigrated to Mexico since the S.W were annexed to the USA. Who is the USA? Many people..many... not only U!

What's the big deal ? Why the hus & fus for amnesty & guest worker program ? Just marry, file & the over worked INS will mail u the green card. The Nigerians, the Russians, the Romanians, the Bulgarians have been doing it for years with the arranged marriages & no one caught on it . U could be legal ,if u play it smart & there are plenty of ways to do it !!!

Every President since Carter that I know of has been supporting globalization and basically the end of the USA to have a North American union.
