Immigration - November 2006

[Selected]: All categories Politics & Government Immigration

I used to get a lot of free food and benefits before all the immigrants. Now, it's harder to qualify and I have to stay on line way longer, they even suggested I get a JOB, but there is too many illegals doing the work I know how to do. How do you guys/girls do it to get by and not compete with all these immigrants for the free stuff that our GOD the government gives to us.

Ok here goes.....
Create a guest worker program in which a citizen of Mexico or Central America can apply for a three year work permit in the United States (applying US labor laws of course, ie minnimum wage). After one year, he/she may bring family to live provided that all persons 18 and older either maintain employment or attend a school of some sort. For the people already here, give them one year to register with the program or leave. After that, anyone not registered is deported. A felony conviction leads to automatic deportation unless a judge says otherwise based on circumstances. People may apply for an additional two years after the three years are up. After that, they are given American citizenship if they can pass the test (already existin) and speak proficient English.

The US born children of illegal aliens (anchor babies) can be touched. Congress can vote that yes in fact the Executive branch has incorrectly interpreted the 14th amendment, and revoke the citizenship of all anchor babies under age 18. The ones over 18 could be given the option of passing the US citizenship test or leaving the US. Congress can do this because the 14th Amendment does not give automatic citizenship to everyone, but only those born to parents who are under the complete jurisdiction of the US.

You never hear any of this in your newspaper because they don't want you to know.

Now start lobbying your Congressperson to fix this current desecration of US Citizenship.

Just take a look at how some of Americas people have to live. Some elderly are forced to make a choice to buy food or their medications.

We have people all over the country living in sub standard living conditions that are being denied social services.

Recently in L.A. one hospital was turning out patients into the streets of skidrow! One man couldn't even walk!!! Luckily for them it was caught on tape and now those Americans will be suing!

Has Big Business taken over everyone’s mind? Not care about Americans and only value Cheap illegal alien Labor???

Our TAXPAYER DOLLARS are suppose to be going toward the ‘goodwill’ of Americans and not some illegal aliens from other countries!

We are being RAILROADED in to paying BILLIONS of dollars for the health and care and education for these people, who don’t even belong in our country!

IT’S TIME FOR THING TO CHANGE!!!

I just read a inter- net story about a conferance of So. & Latin american countries & the 700mile fence we want to build. cuba ( south america ?) argentina, chile,Salvadore &of course Mexico say Bush Is wrong. Salvadore says there are 2.5 million of their people & we should be helping the illegal ones get their papers.Europe is having the same problem with illegal African people. so what if a few people trying to sneak into this country die. When are we going to defend our own borders & tell the world enough is enough. Dont you think we should take care of the people who came here legal & forget the ones who dont.

Not by illegal immigrants, but by Spanish people in general?

I was born here, yet I still call myself aAgentinean and French. Why? Its because its still a big part of my life! I'm trilingual because of this, it affects the foods i eat, the music i like, everything!

Yeah I'm still American but i still have pride in my family history! Why is that so wrong?

I though America was supposed to be a multicultural country, one that prides itself on the blending of different types of people.

In February 2005, FBI Director Robert Mueller described U.S. based-gangs as “more organized, more violent, and more widespread than ever.”

The Department of Justice estimates there are approximately 30,000 gangs with more than 800,000 members in the U.S. Mueller believes these violent gangs pose a growing threat to the safety and security of Americans.

Many members of violent street gangs are actively involved in other crimes such as rape, robbery, and murder and extortion.

Approximately 90 percent of U.S. MS-13 members are foreign-born illegal aliens.

if a girl came to you and said that she will give you 10,000$ to marry her in order to become an American citizen, you won't live together or have a relationship as a married couple or anything, you'll be a married couples "on papers" only. would you marry her?
if either yes or no,why? that happens a lot in the US, please be honest, I just wanted to know other people's opinions.

by the way, anyone of you ever seen the movie green card? it's a nice movie.

If so, how difficult was the process, and roughly how long did it take from your fiance(e) filing the petition to you receiving your visa?

I'm about to begin this process - my fiancee will be filing the petition in the next week or so. I've seen various wildly differing accounts as to how time-consuming/difficult it can be.

Also, any information on getting a work permit once in the US would also help - I'm not looking to be a bum once I get there...

As a highly skilled software engineer I have considered working in the US. However visa restrictions prevent me from travelling to look for a job unless i go on my 90 day visitors visa and if i get a job offered it takes the state department ages to process the paperwork. I am a degree educated UK Anglo Saxon citizen with Family and children and not likely to have links to Al Qaeda and yet it appears that visas are granted easily to Indian subcontinent workers and South east Asians. Why does America treat its closest allies so bad and why can't they fast track visa applicaions for western europeans ?

I heard only negative stories about those Ads & the girls. They look for an easy way out through marriage , come to the west, then bail out from the marriage. Don't get me wrong, i'm not importing or marrying any trouble, but i keep getting Russian chicks e.mailing me & my State Virginia is full of them Russian girls, looking for the G.Card marriage.

The city ordinances regarding illegal aliens in Pennsylvania have been challenged by a rights group, and the court has suspended them. What's your opinion, is immigration enforcement solely something for the federal govt., or can/should local government get involved?

Twice-deported man guilty in traffic death
Saturday, November 4, 2006

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

YAKIMA -- A twice-deported illegal immigrant with a history of drug arrests has been convicted in the traffic death of a Yakima Valley Community College educator.

A Yakima County Superior Court jury deliberated for barely half an hour Thursday before finding Marcos Ramos Medina, 35, most recently of Portland, guilty of vehicular homicide in his second trial.

Medina faces 2 1/2 to five years in prison when he is sentenced Nov. 16 for the death of Peggy Keller, 53, a radiology expert and dean of distance education and technical services at the two-year school.

Keller was on her way to an education conference in Vancouver, Wash., when Medina's 1997 Chevrolet Lumina crossed the center line and hit her 2000 Lexus nearly head-on on U.S. Route 97 between Goldendale and Toppenish on Aug. 4, 2005.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to testimony by a state toxicologist, Barry Logan, a blood test following the crash showed that Medina had a high concentration of methamphetamine in his system, adding that the miles of erratic driving described by witnesses and his mood swings after the crash were indications of drug-induced exhaustion.

Testifying in his own defense Thursday, Medina said he was exhausted from a trip to sell a pickup in Portland, had gotten very little sleep for several days because of generalized bouts with fear and nervousness and had been given some pills by a friend the night before the crash.

Defense lawyers did not deny that Medina was to blame but argued that his conduct was reckless or negligent, which would be treated less severely under the law, rather than impaired driving, which is grounds for a vehicular homicide conviction.
