For many years Illegal aliens have done work in the US that, for the most part, Americans would not do--at least not for the wages provided. Farm workers will migrate from area to area depending of the crops that need harvesting. Often their children worked right along side them (not attending school, violating child-labor laws). Who paid them? Who looked the other way?
I have known many wealthy people who had nannies and housekeepers who were here illegally--brought here BY their employers for the most part. Why? Why did these "employers" want to pay under-the-table? It wouldn't be so that THEY didn't have to pay taxes, or so that THEY didn't have to do an accounting of those employees, would it? Also, what sort of responsibility do you think these employers feel towards their workers?? None, you say? Aha! Maybe that's the reason for them being here in the first place?? If they cut a hand off, oh well...they don't work for me!

Before you hate on Mexican immigrants, please understand how much of a piece of **** Mexico is. It's not just poor, the government is ******* corrupt; it's truly disgusting. In Juarez, Mexico hundreds of women were raped and murdered, but the police didn't do ****. People that live there are scared to walk home from work. That's why some illegals move to the US...to get away from that life.

Who are you to deny them their freedom you sheltered prick? They make **** wages. How much of their tax money do you ******* want? I love America, but we are so ******* spoiled.

Examples: U can hear them slurping coffee in the NEXT ROOM! They hv a habit of staring rudely and nosily at other ppl in public & at U when UR speaking to someone else. Their personal space limit is not like the typical American limit (which is about an arm's length) & they stand two inches from YR face with speaking with U (even if you are female and they are male)? These things appear 2 U 2 be universal within this person’s culture b/c Y've observed many others from the same country doing the same things. BTW these are just a few of the things that are driving me bananas! That said, is it their responsibility 2 know the rules of our culture when they relocate 2 the USA or is it our responsibility to inform them of these cultural rules? FYI before I trvld out of the US I read "Do's and Taboos Around The World" by Roger Axtell. However if a person is in the US from a mostly illiterate cntry can they be expected 2 know/care about our cultural rules? What would U do in these situations?

About the mexican couple with conjoined twins who came here on a "visit" and "decided to stay" so their children could get better medical care? They couldn't speak a word of English. They did the surgery to separate the twins.I would like to know,Who paid for that surgery? My heart goes out to those sweet babies, but this surgery must have cost a fortune.
I guess the reason it bothered me so much was because a dear friend of mine's little boy(7)was recently diagnosed with leukemia. He spent a few weeks in the hospital getting chemo and other treatments. The last I heard, the bill was well over $100,000.My friend will probably lose her house to pay this hospital bill, they are far from rich.Even the nurse said to her "too bad you aren't illegal, then you wouldn't have to pay it".I think this is just sad.Our own citizens can't get the mediacl care they need without losing everything, but others can just come here and get it all for free.Sorry for the rant, but this has been on my mind all day.

HAZLETON, Pennsylvania (Reuters) - Officials in the Pennsylvania town of Hazleton on Friday strengthened a local law designed to drive illegal immigrants away in a bid to defend the measure against legal challenges. Hazleton City Council passed a new version of the Illegal Immigration Relief Act, an ordinance first passed in July that was already one of the toughest anti-illegal immigrant laws in the country. It has since been copied by other cities where illegal immigration is blamed for rising crime and overburdened social services. The new law, approved by a vote of 4-1, increases pressure on local employers to avoid hiring illegal immigrants and raises fines for landlords who rent rooms to them. So many of you are trying to play the race card when it comes to illegal immigration. Let me set a few things straight here:

- Not all illegal immigrants who come to this country are Mexican, Hispanic, Honduran, Puerto Rican, etc. Some of them just so happen to be WHITE people, yes it's true.

- Just because I want to secure my country's borders doesn't make me racist.

- I don't want to get taxes taken out to support these people who aren't supposed to be here in the first place. No one pays for my food, housing, or healthcare - Why the fxck should I have to pay for theirs? They're not even an American citizen.

- You do know that there are thousands of ILLEGAL immigrants swarming into our country each day, right? How do you sleep at night, knowing that there could be hundreds of terrorrists/criminals/rapists, etc. coming to a town near you? We can't profile every single one of them. Something needs to be done = Set up an electric fence, and put the troops on our borders.

our government is considering giving them amnesty. Wow! So if hundreds of thousands of legal citizens just decide to no longer pay federal taxes, they will pardon us won't they?Is not paying your federal taxes any more illegal than entering the USA illegally? How could it be any more WRONG?

The insane immigration bill that came out of the senate floor, introduced by Ted Kennedy,Harry Reid,John McCain and praised by George W Bush will reward illegals that have stolen social security numbers from innocent victims,in this day and age when people are getting sued daily for plagiarism and fraud, our government will not only forgive them for breaking the law by stealing those numbers, but actually reward them for doing it,meanwhile the victims will suffer the consequences by having to pay out of their pockets to straigthen out the mess,is this country great or what?

Probe: State trooper acted appropriately in disputed traffic stop

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- An internal investigation finds a Rhode Island trooper acted appropriately when he escorted a van of illegal immigrants to federal immigration authorities.

Trooper Thomas Chabot stopped the van for an alleged traffic violation on July Eleventh. The encounter led to deportation orders against the driver and 13 passengers.

Civil rights advocates had questioned why Chabot checked the passengers' identification. They also claimed that Chabot threatened the shoot the passengers if they tried to flee.

State Police Superintendent Steven Pare says an internal investigation shows Chabot never threatened the men.

Pare says the officer asked the van's passengers for any sort of identification. When all but two passengers couldn't produce I-D documents, Chabot escorted the van to federal immigration agents.

Immigrants make up a bigger percent of our population than anywhere else on Earth (except perhaps Canada and Australia). If tired, poor, huddled masses yearning to be free was so bad, how did America get to be the world's leading power? (Lord, I hope you don't say 'because they came from Europe'.)

Assuming all illegal immigrants left the country and re-applied legally (and we had a large enough quota to accomodate them) wouldn't America be even richer overall and more powerful...just as it has always done when immigrants came? If so, then why go through the exercise of deporting and re-applying?...why not just a small fine (if you require some sort of punishment) and get on with it?

ok, pay attention i'll only say this once. I have a very good friend from honduras. this is what he told me about illegal immigrants.

they come here, work for cash and take just enough to live on and send the rest home. since the mexican economy is severly lacking compared to ours. 1 us dollar = 11 pesos, they work here for a few years and go home.

with the currency conversion a man can live like a king.

and that is the bottom line.

how did america function before illegals were stealing what we have here? oh wait...americans DID take the jobs! theres plenty of poor U.S. citizens who would be happy to do it for a fair wage. your confidence in the american people is so low its sad. and yes im willing to pay a little more for fruit if it helps out poorer AMERICAN citizens and gets rid of people who are draining our other resources like schools and hospitals. also--about half the illegals do jobs like mcdonalds and subway...not exactly impossible jobs. teens would be happy with them. who else is with me? can anyone say anything to counter what i said? kinda doubt it but might be funny to see lol.
